I don't really understand instrumental measurement but I'll check it out with someone. I thought someone here on the forum had the same problem and knows specifically what the mistake is. Thanks for the suggestion and I look at the psu output of the Y drive

It was that same 1.8V regulator on it. Replaced that and it works absolutely perfectly. Another 9G KURO saved.

Interestingly, the panel has about 22,000 hours on it (mine had 11,500 hrs) ... and not a lick of burn in. Has great black level performance and hardly any red tint - I suspect the previous owner has tweaked this panel, as all the voltages are adjusted from the nominal rating. They've done a good job, thankfully they've not reset the panel (which really makes for an awkward fix.)

Pioneer Kuro Pro 111FD 8 blink red LED.

I have been trying to solve the power-down 8-blink red LED problem with my Pioneer.

So far I have replaced the power supply board, and the digital assembly board, I have reconnected the ribbons to all boards, ensuring the connections are good. Even though the problem is the 8 red light error and not the more common 8 blue light error code, I had Kcrownie,
based in North Carolina replace the chips that cause the 8 blue LED problem (the main board and audio board) the plasma is still powering...

Pioneer Kuro KRP-500 picture turns black
            by PowerAmpFreak
This Pioneer Kuro KRP-500 plasma display has an intermittent issue in that it the picture turns black suddenly.
            Sound works all the time.
Powerled is on all the time.
This set has a separate control box which for a few years had a similair problem which was fixed by replacing a number of voltage regulators.
Quite a common issue as fas as I know.
Question is: are there more of the notorius voltage regulators also inside the display unit which should be replaced?
            Other advice?
There are not a common cause which makes the issue. Can work for two days,...

            Pioneer Kuro KRL-37V issue
            by thie
I have a Pioneer Kuro KRL-37V LCD TV with a problem. It's about 12 years old and was used as our main TV for about 9 years, it's now
been moved to the guest appartment.
I decommisioned it because after 4-6 years, don't quite remember when exactly, the follwing issue started popping up:
When I power on the TV it initially works fine. As an example I plug in a chromecast and it will play
several hours before the problem begins: a single green pixel will appear on the screen and stay green/become stuck.
If I now switch the TV to a different input channel on which...

Pioneer PL-X9 motor speed control wobble
            by Bushcat
I'm starting to re-cap a Pioneer PL-X9 turntable, specifically the motor control board, because although everything tests out OK according to the service manual, the speed wavers slightly despite the quartz lock light remaining on. So, I've decided to re-cap that board since it's the cheapest next step...

Pioneer's passive component naming convention is clear to me. For example, CSZA R22M 35 is tantalum, radial leads, 0.22uF, 20%, 35V.

BUT there are two capacitors on the board which have actual Pioneer part numbers: PCL-042. I can tell they are 0.1uF, 16V but don't...
