So one of the TVs that I picked up is this Sanyo. I went through the usual testing on this TV It had a shorted SS board I since repaired the board and restored my Voltages.. now powering it up I expected to have a picture of course wouldn't we all but instead of a picture I had a dimly lit screen so the panel is firing which eliminates power supply SS and SC boards but after about 10 seconds the TV turns off and turns right back on. So now I Expecting possibly a mainboard problem although it appears it's getting all voltages from power supply. I check voltage regulators in their spot on. I'm kind of thrown for a loop with look for next right now. I don't suppose a bad logic board could turn the TV off and back on? this TV uses Panasonic internals and if it were a true full-fledged Panasonic I get an error code of course but it's not its a bastard child Sanyo Panasonic mix so that makes fun

Re: sanyo dp42740 plasma panel lit no picture
Looks like shopjimmy has a repair kit for the mainboard. Audio processor and eeprom i believe. Well I can definitely confirm I have no 13v to the audio circuits. Getting good 15v from the power supply. So I ordered the parts. Well sr how it goes.Did I leave the soldering iron on?

Re: sanyo dp42740 plasma panel lit no picture
Did the EEPROM ever fix your TV? I have the same problem and I am not sure if the EEPROM will fix it. The TV clicks constantly and tries to turn on. When I unplug the main board the problem stops and the power board turns on for 5 seconds before shutting off. So it sure seems the problem is the main board.
Update: I ordered the EEPROM & audio IC just now, I will update this post when I get it installed. Those audio ICs are expensive so I got this one cheap with the package deal and I will have it when I need it.Last edited by Shane711; 07-13-2016, 10:00 AM.
