      Re: Toshiba 32L502B

Fuse good, standby voltage good? (You can check for standby/other voltage on the CATHODE of various diodes - this is the end with the white band - red on pin near to band, black on chassis.)

        according to the schematic

        st_by is 0.00 volts
        +5vstby 4.19 volts

        fuse on psu is fine

Had the exact same issue with a Philips 32" display : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p6JM...oed4jq2DPi3ssg

The problem was the flat panel, the ribbon on the left side, from the LCD panel to the T-con had shorted or something and was burnt a bit, cutting the tiny connection. And since these are soldered to the panel, there was no way to repair it without replacing the entire flat panel.

What's the 17PW... number on the power board?

Well, that does look like the main CPU - it's not strange for them to run hot... don't know about during standby though.

REALLY hot, though, no that's not normal. On a Vestel, even with their poor thermal design, it shouldn't burn fingers.

I've had bad CPU on a Vestel set before. CPU just got hot, no standby. Was caused by bad regulator, shorting 5V to 3.3V.
