VESTEL 17PW25-4 SOME CAP VALUES Needed

Just need some cap values as my niece has mixed up my caps and thrown away my notes

    on the 17pw25-4 250111 v1

I have looked at the schematics but the caps I have seem to slightly different

    what I need is

    c960
    c950
    c971

    c972

can some look on thier board and let us know..

Re: VESTEL 17PW25-4 SOME CAP VALUES Needed

There are maybe 50 different versions of this power supply...... so no one board can be compared

    As a guide:-

    For 24~26" LED backlit: 24V rail has 3300uF x 1
    For 26~32" CCFL backlit: 24V rail has 3300uF x 3 + 1000uF x 1
    For 42" LED backlit: 24V rail has 3300uF x 3

      Zomi
Replace the caps you have on the pcb with the same spesification

        i resolved it
With some help from google and cross ref from the schematics.

Out of interest... this board had bad capacitors? I have not encountered that on a 17PW25-4 yet myself. It does use garbage caps so that wouldn't entirely be a surprise...

Re: VESTEL 17PW25-4 SOME CAP VALUES Needed

I had a board where the main big cap had buldged and gone bad.
Ended up decapping most of the board checking the caps.

Had a couple of blown diodes

Replaced diodes and cap (main one)

and then put back together and tried it
was still dead, checked a few more things and nothing..
so in the end called time..

Have to know when to call time and move on esp on these vestel pieces of crap.

New resolution is to try not to get sucked into any more vestel nasties..

Re: VESTEL 17PW25-4 SOME CAP VALUES Needed

This power board usually blows stuff on the primary when diodes go bad. It is a complete and utter piece of shit. I have repaired four of them so far with the same fault. Avoid where possible.
