I have a LG 50PG20 tv, I just replaced the power supply board and got tv to turn on, but now there is a very thin (about 1/16") going across tv screen. Any ideas on what this is and how to fix it?

Re: LG 50PG20 plasma thin line going across screen
Did you happen to take the ribbon cables off the buffer boards? Maybe try reseating the offending cable.Did I leave the soldering iron on? -

No I meant the ribbons that go into the panel directly. They are copper colored. On the far left.Did I leave the soldering iron on?Comment

Is the line going from left to right or top to bottom? Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: LG 50PG20 plasma thin line going across screen
It could be a bad plasma panel. There is a small chance it is a Y-buffer fault but that is very rare. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

by Ted29946I'm new to this so I hope I'm doing it right So....I picked up a LG 50PG20-ua Plasma TV (Someone's throwaway pickup) First power up no picture or sound
Found power board to be bad and I repaired it. (Bad caps) Now all power volt readings are good. Still no picture or sound. I plugged in power cord, no click and the standby light on the on/off button comes on blue as soon as it is plugged in and does not turn off when button is push. I then pulled the main board off to look at it better and the initial inspection (front and back) I cannot see anything bad. Before I put the board back...10-24-2024, 11:12 AM -

Symptom:
While watching, just went black and started clicking relay every few seconds.
Initial diagnosis:
Removing JUST the main CPU/Input PCB from circuit stops the clicking. No problems with any other boards/drivers. (Removing all other boards and only putting Main back in is all it takes to start clicking again)

by cubytusHi to all,
I was given this TV, an entry-level 4K 50" set. Some have criticized its lack of contrast and relatively poor colour rendering, but for my needs, it's very decent.
I reset everything to factory settings, but this line keeps on fading in and out when watching a streaming channel from the Tizen firmware. Interestingly, it only happens when TV is warm, after about 1h45 of it being turned on.
Watching a movie from an external source doesn't trigger the line as easily (needs 2 hours), and from a normal viewing distance, is hardly noticeable. It...1 Photo01-10-2024, 01:26 AM -
by canadaboy25Hey guys, I'm being offered an LG 50PG10 plasma with a vertical line running down the screen.
Apparently, if you give the TV a good smack on the frame above the line, it will go away for a while.
Does this sound like a bad solder joint or loose ribbon cable? Or a bad panel? If it's not likely to be a bad panel I will likely pick it up.
What do you guys think?
Thanks...11-24-2020, 11:50 AM -
by otaku_nutHi all, I tried searching the site for answers but I'm a bit over my head understanding some of what might apply and what doesn't, so please be patient with me. I used Freakaftr8's fix to remove the left driver board to restore picture to a black screen with sound Vizio E701i-A3. After doing so, I now have a large red vertical stripe down the center of the screen. The fix did require getting another t-con board from online, I ordered it before I knew about the mosfit fix for the old t-con board. I have tried cleaning the cable connections to the t-con board. I swapped the cables going from...08-19-2025, 06:11 PM
