I think this TNPA5105 is there after that diode. The thread title is misleading since he jumped on the end of a 42C2 4 blink where this is the S20 FHD entry level model with the reduced 5081 board essentially.

I Know that a lot of these SC/SN repairs also have the TNPA 5072 SS blown , and you will be hard pushed to find the M81735FP IC over here in the UK.I have put two ES1G in the post to Manchester will be with you sometime next week. Flocko

If you have time, how about a new thread for this model and a summary of what was placed including part numbers of the originals and what parts were used to replace plus where you got them.

maybe a title similar to this

                              "Panasonic TX-P42S20B - 4 blinks - TNPA5105 failure / rebuild"

Re: Panasonic TX-P42C2l : No Power with 4 LED Blinks

Hello I have a plasma TXP37C2E. One day the tv have not power and led are 4 blinks.
                                      When I disconnect board SS (TNPA5072 AD) on connectors: SC3-SS3, P11-SS11, C23-SS23 - led 6 blinks.
On P11 I have 15V. When I check mm (diode mode) SS3 I see that is shorted on all directions.
In next step SC (TNPA 5062 AB) board is disconnected on P2-SC2 and SS3-SC3 - led 7 blinks.
In this place when I connectind SS boar only on P11-SS11, C23-SS23 (SC is disconnectd) - leds 4 blinks.
When I connect SC boar on P2-SC2 (SS3-SC3 are disconnected) - leds 4 blinks.
I thing that the SS board damaged, but I'm not sure.
                                      Please help.

Yes, SS is shorted that's why 4 blink when connected and change to 6 disconnected. The SS can also damage the SN board so replacing the SS alone may not always fix.

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                                            Hi all!

I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅

I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

                                            Hi all,

TL;DR - this laptop is driving me nuts with the oddball power-related behaviors. Appreciate any insight you can provide!

I'm experiencing a power issue on an Asus Probook P5440UF-XB74. Although I've worked with electronics and computers for decades, this is my first attempt at getting into motherboard-level component troubleshooting. Any help the community can provide is greatly appreciated!

Panasonic Plasma TH-50PZ85U No screen No blinks on red power light

                                            Hello,

Stopped by this site trying to fix my parents Panasonic Plasma TV.

                                            Model number is TH-50PZ85U

Power comes on and the red power light stays on solid.

Did a few checks like hold the power button on for 60 seconds, hold the - Volume while holding the menu button, no luck, still@ blank grey screen as the screen lights up very vague.

I also hear a few clicks.

I also think my parents said there was a thunderstorm and the TV failed after that.

Section 6 in the service manual talks about power and no screen,...

Desoldering gun station modified to use a 18 volt @ 20 amp switching power supply

I have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump

One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy...
