Re: Panasonic TX-P42C2l : No Power with 4 LED Blinks

    thanks. IC 771;
    Gnd - Out = 5.74k
    Gnd - In = 1.72k

IC 773 (I don't sure about pin names. So I have mentioned the pin numbers mentioned on the board)
    Gnd - 1,5 = 5.74k
    Gnd - 2 = 1k
    Gnd - 4 = 9.37k

Great really appreciate your help. I ordered everything i need from utsource. So will take 2,3 weeks.

Also can you let me know if it is possible to replace that power board capacitor (1000uf 230v) by 1000uf 250v or 1000uf 200v?
If not let me know if there any shop like utsource. cheers

you'll have to match or go higher in voltage and I'd check the datasheet of whatever brand and series it is to something as good or better. Nichicon, rubycon etc.

I'd stay away from chinese sources for caps. I don't know who's in the UK, RS components, element 4

It would help to know brand and series of cap that's in there. I'm not a cap expert but that one only has 3000Hr life rating.

Hi just received the parts and replaced all the parts. But still I have the same 7 blink problem. Now I can see the SC board LED turning on. but go back to 7 blink mode after few seconds.

Not good I guess. Not sure how I'll go recovering from a failed attempt.

Are you able to take a hi res photo of the board so I can see repairs? Can you list the parts(locations) replaced?

Did anything go pop when you powered this board up?

have you gone back and now checked all those parts to see if any are damaged/shorted after the power cycle?

Q661 is one that comes to mind

I'm hoping you ordered extra quantities of parts for more than one attempt.

I'm going to dribble out the info as I work out what those parts are.

                            Check D451 for short cct

Also looks like no 30f125 transistors replaced. Is that correct?

can you provide a summary of the part numbers of those heatsinked parts replaced, that will save me a lot of time.

I think we're not understanding. I'd like the part numbers eg RJP63F3A etc

Check the SMD diode D451! The fact you report shorted C-E I think is pretty much confirming D451 is shorted, that will cause 6 blink and funny buzz

you'll need either RF071L4S(original), RF101L4S(higher peak) (400V 1A) or something equivalent. super fast recovery diodes

Ok , this is weird. So out of cct, D451 is ok, so too is q451 out of cct but at the board c-e is?

I was confident i was right but looks not. we're close. Thinking Q551

Let me think. I may be misunderstanding the schematic.

                                          back soon

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                                            Hi all!

I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅

I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

                                            Hi all,

TL;DR - this laptop is driving me nuts with the oddball power-related behaviors. Appreciate any insight you can provide!

I'm experiencing a power issue on an Asus Probook P5440UF-XB74. Although I've worked with electronics and computers for decades, this is my first attempt at getting into motherboard-level component troubleshooting. Any help the community can provide is greatly appreciated!

                                            Hello,

Stopped by this site trying to fix my parents Panasonic Plasma TV.

                                            Model number is TH-50PZ85U

Power comes on and the red power light stays on solid.

Did a few checks like hold the power button on for 60 seconds, hold the - Volume while holding the menu button, no luck, still@ blank grey screen as the screen lights up very vague.

I also hear a few clicks.

I also think my parents said there was a thunderstorm and the TV failed after that.

Section 6 in the service manual talks about power and no screen,...

Desoldering gun station modified to use a 18 volt @ 20 amp switching power supply

I have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump

One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy...
