kogan kaled46blswc Picture fades to the left side

    Hellow:
This LED LCD works fine, but the screen fades a lot from the middle
towards the left side. This is a gradual fade becoming darker towards
the left. This fade is from top to bottom.

The Right hand top corner of the case gets very hot,but not the left
    side.

I found four outputs from the power board for the LED's.
There are 2 for each side of the screen.

I tested the voltage of the 2 that go towards the R side (good side)
of the screen, and found: 21.5v and 21.2v this looks good to me.
On the 2 that supply the left side, I found: 11v and 31.7v.

Both totals are 42.7v, but the Left side isn't divided eaqualy.
It seams to me that there is a OC in one line or a short in the
other. It could be a short, as this would explain the hot R hand
    side.
I tested these outputs with the plugs to the LED's connected.
I have not worked on led backlights before, only used to ccfl's.

I would like to know if it's ok to pull the plugs to test power board
outputs without damage, and would there be a service manual for
these cheap tv's, as i've tried the usual sites, without luck.

Also, being new to led backlights, are they hard to get at, and
can they be repaired individualy,or do you have to replace the
    lot.??

    Thankyou for any advice
    Regards: Andy.

I'm going to skip on all the good bits because I'm not a LCD dude, but what panel has it got? I've got a kaled463D1 with samsung panel, which has panel failure

Hi, this thing has a ROHS panel not a samsung.
These must be a clone of some other brand, and renamed Kogan for Australia, and perhaps
a few other areas. All the components, and the way they are put togeather looks
cheap and nasty, with no familiar named components.

RoHS = EU standard for restriction of Lead and other components... not a panel standard... like CE or FCC mark... or A-Tick in Oz

KDL-70R550A Peeled off LCD Tabs on left side and perfect picture for 5 minutes
                by Davidhames
                Hi Guys,

Thought I might try and seek advice on an issue I am having, I got this SONY tv for free that was having some dark greenish colouring, I replaced the T-CON and too my suprise the TV would not boot - I would get 5 blinking red LED lights. I dug deeper into this forum and someone mentioned the fact that it might be the tabs that connect to the LDC panel, and peeling them off should bring back a clear image. I tried this on the side of the T-con that was causing the tv to not boot when plugged in (left) and wow a perfect picture and was booting up fine! All was well and good...

A2442 MacBook Pro 14" Two Left SIDE USB C ports charge but no data
                by Stephen
Right SIDE usb.c port charges and transfers data without issue, two left side uSB c ports charge but do not receive or see data. Was liquid damaged, and repaired significantly and thought we were in the clear but appears this is the last issue that is rearing its head. I am trying to locate the RETIMER chip that communicates the DATA TX/RX but I cannot seem to find it on the schematic or maybe I am just so tired my eyes wore out lol. Any help would be great.

                TCL 55US57 backlights, no picture.
                by DXseekerMO
So here we go with another screen short TCL. For this exercise left and right will be reference looking at the screen.

The person I got this TV from said the color was bad in a vertical fashion about 1/4 of the way over the left side of the screen. Shortly after the symptoms below started.

Power Supply, main and T-CON board are working.

Symptoms: The TV has backlights but no picture with both FFC's attached to the T-CON and does not respond to the remote or buttons, and the TV appears to continuously re-boot.

                Unhook FFC from left side...

SAMSUNG UN55KS9000F picture fades then distorts into vertical lines after 20 seconds
                by JJAAMM
This was my main TV for the last 6 years. I'm not inclined to throw out a $2600 TV so quickly so I'm trying to investigate the issue.

                Problem
TV was disconnected from power for 6 months during construction. When I plugged it yesterday picture was fine, after 30 seconds it dimmed then started developing horizontal lines, picture then starts to ghost vertically until it degrades into vertical streaks. TV always displays a perfect picture when cold. I can unplug TV for 5 minutes and plug it back in and picture is restored for 20 seconds. I can also keep it in standby mode...

70LE660U dark cloud or black screen with sound.
                by Rozp
                Hello Everyone,

This is my first post so I will try to be as precise as possible without making this post too long winded. Unfortunately I don't have pictures of the original problem but I included images of the TV internals.

I have a Sharp 70LE660U. The problem started a few months ago with the bottom row looking out of sync and was dark on the left side and then fading to transparent on the right side. Shortly after, a dark cloud appeared in the center of the screen. The dark cloud started small and shaded but the image was visible. It also affected the menu area....
