Philips 42PFL7962D/05 Dead blue LED flashes

I have been asked to have a Look at my friends Philips 42PFL7962D/05 TV , The blue led lights on switch on. then every ten seconds goes off then back on , if the TV is left on eventually a picture will appear and will go off, leaving the blue led pulsing again every ten seconds, I have checked all of the capacitors on the power board with a ESR meter all check out good, there are no signs of bulging, capacitors or any overheating, have checked for dry joints and shorted diodes, any help will be appreciated.

Update standby red LED pulses once then followed by three pulses in quick succession.

      Error code is "3" then.
What is the chassis number of your TV? Written on the back in a box marked S on the product label. For example Q993.1LA-U

There are two numbers on the back one is VN 1A0738 002141, the other is 147 055 042 223 077 242 006, can not see any Q prefixes.

          Hi Teddibear,
chassis is LC7.5E_LA. Service manual can be downloaded from this site:
          http://www.eserviceinfo.com/download..._LCD%20TV.html

According to the manual one blink means "DC protection of speakers", three blinks means "Reserved" (for what??).
Try disconnecting the +- supply voltage of the audio power amp TDA8932T.

Try also disconnecting the speakers themselves.

Thanks you for your help ref above, Ordered a new power board, fitted job done, I have since checked every cap and semiconductor on the old panel but could not find any faulty. these modern sets are mind boggling.

Samsung NP750QFG-KA3DE does not turn on , Blue LED flashes 3 times
                by Egidio85
                Hi everyone, I have a Samsung NP750QFG-KA3DE , MainBoard VESTA3-15 BA92-24515A

the battery is charged. pressing the power button the blue LED flashes 3 times and then stays blue. then the sequence repeats.
                the fan does not start.

I noticed that I have no power on the processor and it does not heat up. could it depend on the bios?

any advice on what to check?

Insignia NS-LCD019-09 issue: Power light turns blue for 3 seconds, the flashes red before going solid read again
                by cajoeg
Hello, I'm new to the group and to trying to repair a LCD TV. During the past few years, I've been collecting/repairing/restoring vintage personal computers (Commodore, Apple II, Atari, TRS-80, Texas Instruments, and Timex Sinclair). This has been my retirement hobby. Now I've gotten interested in trying to repair a LCD TV that I have and used regularly when working on vintage computers.

The LCD I'm working on is a Insignia NS-LCD019. I've downloaded the service manual that I could find, but it must be a different revision since not too many items in the service manual match the TV...

Sony OLED XR-77A80J - Initially dead, now 4 Flashes
                by thstuff
                A) TV initially dead
                B) On a hunch of a locked up Google OS, plugged in a USB memory stick with latest FW and plugged it in. It booted into the update screen, completed the update and restarted to Home screen.
                C) Was able to perform a Reset from Settings menu and completed out of box configuration.
                D) Ran a 4K screen saver demo for about 6 hours, then turned it off for the day. Did not notice any stripes, dead zones or other artifacts in the image.
                E) Powered back on and it now runs for a few minutes before relay clicks, screen goes blank, Main Board Red Digital Optical...

philips 55pfl5907/f7 flashes and goes black
                by diazald
Hi Guys I have a philips 55pfl5907/f7 Backlight flashes and then goes black Protection Mode I assume. This set has a LED Driver board and is Edge lit (Only 2 light strips). I put my LED checker on the connection and get 103v on 7 of the segments and 112v on the 8th segment. Obviously theres an LED out on that segment but still lights up.

Could such a small voltage difference cause the set to go into 'protection Mode'?

                Thanks in advance
                Will
