I got my boards.

My TV is now working and as good as new. Im torn. Return the unopend board to sears and get my money back. or save it so I can get it working again in 2 years.

I'm jealous, I can't find a board.. sears Canada and sears US are different, can't get it shipped here and they don't have it in Canada. argh. I'm trying to repair the board, so far replaced the mosfets, no luck.

I have the PS51D550 tv and have the same issue as described here.

I did get which is the right x-main board for this model (3D model)

these are the two version I saw, both under
BN96-16523A

A quick difference I spotted was one had 4 green capacitors on the side, and one has three and one empty spot. Is there a difference between these boards? and how should I know which one is right for my set?

Which version does your set currently have--Match that for caps--And Part-Number + Rev version.

Currently I have the version with the 3 caps, but it's not the original one.
It was replaced under warranty 3 times already, so who knows if they even replaced it with the right one.
This is the 4th time the TV got this same error (doesn't start, clicks a few times and is unresponsive), and I want to make sure I buy the right x-main board to replace.
Isn't there a spec somewhere with the right x-main board for each model?

I am pretty sure that a stamp with the letter H on it is for the HD version of this set and a stamp with the letter F is FHD.

Just got 2 of these in the shop this week with the exact same issue, I am fairly certain I am going to start a repair service for this LJ92-01763A, but so far it looks like the following parts are all shorted and need to be replaced:
Q4104
Q4101
Q4503
Q4202
Q4301
Q4302

I just bulk ordered these and will attempt repairs on a couple of these boards. I have not had time to fully diagnose the boards, but all surface mount resistors on the bottom side of the board all look good, but I have not had a chance to test the IC's. I have ordered a working board to compare it to however, so we shall see.
Will keep posted as to what needs to be replaced to fix this board.

Hi Nick did that do the trick on the plasma, I have the exact same transistors blown on my unit and still awaiting transistor spares until end of the week.

Thanks appreciate if you can let me know if it worked or if there was something else that made them bang. My dog and son got a big fright when another IGBT blew when pluggen in before repair attempt.
