Where to get Samsung parts...none on Ebay, Jimmy, etc..

Hi there. I am wondering if anyone can help me find a part for my TV in particular an X main.

I cannot find the particular item on any of the usual haunts ie jimmy, ebay, and have done an exhaustive search and everyone seems to be out of stock.

Do you have a particular place where you get your parts? I would be very grateful if you could help me out.

BN96-16516A is a sub, $27 and they have 600 of these

LJ92-01759B is a sub, 449 and have over 1100

LJ92-01763C out of stock

So which one are you chasing? look at the 4 photos and see if they all look the same on SJ

763A on sticker. DFG stamped in letters on X main.

I looked at those other ones you mentioned, tw2005, and they have a different configuration than the one I have.

That being said, can a 2D board be used on a 3D TV?

Your advice, and help, is solicited and greatly appreciated.

In at least the 720p models there's no difference between 2D and 3D boards, and 2D and 3D panels. I was able to upgrade a 2D Samsung 51" to a 3D Samsung 51".

However do note there IS a difference between the 720p and 1080p boards...

I see where your coming from all 3 have the same PCB print.

They are listed as fitted to Samsung panels

So the panel numbers don't line up, could very be a mistake on there part.

There are differences, impossible to see all of them and I'm only just analysing it now but obvious one is the caps.

I was going to suggest transferring these from your board but now I just spotted less transistors, can't see under the biggest heatsink but next to it you can see 1 less.

I reckon it would drive the panel I just don't know how it will perform and having caps and inductors missing? Would have something to do with matching to the panel. Tom may know more. If I was desparate and had no other options I'd give it a go.

I'll see if i can unearth a board somewhere on the web.

SJ have been know to have wrong info, could try asking them the hard question why they have it as a sub with parts missing and a panel number that does not match.

Difference between those boards is FHD(1080p) vs HD(720p) it will not work properly - it might work but would expect maldischarge on image

It seems physically the most similar, is revision AA1 where mine is a AA4.

Could it be rare because it is a 3D? I see there are tons marked DHG, or DH, as they are the 2D model sold mostly into the USA. Mine seems marketed largely to Canada through a couple of major electronics chains.

Tom, I did read that nice piece of engineering you did on the 2D to 3D. Most impressive.

The picture on this Samsung is lovely when it works. However, my 8 year old 42 inch Viera is working well in all of its 720p glory. Love it. And my Sony 32 720p in another room is trooping along after many years of use.

How might I be able to determine if my X main needs to be resoldered or other fix up measures? That is a totally new game to me.

Any and all assistance is greatly appreciated.

I have no idea, i just did some quick searches with the numbers you gave and by the time you paid freight maybe a local new board was a safer bet, sucks when the parts are hard to get 2nd hand at a good price.

I have the same exact TV and the same board has crapped out. I have been in a fratic search looking for this board. I have found it in a few places. but it is now an expensive board. Samsung parts wanted $150. https://www.partstore.com/SearchResu...sp=PMN&x=0&y=0 $147

and sears. all indicate they have it in stock. I will be ordering as I don't care. I can't afford a new TV and the part will be worth it if it works. I may replace the X and Y board at the same time. since the Y is only $40.

well Partstore.com does not have it in stock anymore. they must have had one.

I just ordered from sears. I hope it works. They have a Garantee that it is the same part even though it has a couple of extra letters. on the Part#

Well I was excited and now I am not sure Time will tell. The web site states the part is in stock. When I ordered the part The invoice stated the part was a remanufactured part with the same warantee and if the part was not availble I would be contacted within 6 days.

If the part does not come in I will Try to order direct from Samsungs Parts department. They gave me a quote last week of $150 shipped to my door. But The Big Butt is that it would not come for 6 to 8 weeks.

all parts departments seem to show this board as backordered with an unknown date when they will be available.

My guess is this board stops working quite a bit. and all current production was used up. And untill more boards are produced If they are produced Our TV's are done. It could be that production is scheduled and That is why the Samsung parts dept sated 6 to 8 weeks.

That was alot of money to spend on a TV to last 2.5 years and not be able to fix it.

Im willing to spend $200 getting this TV working. I can't seem to find a replacemnet tv that has this quality. for less than $1000. maybe one of the last 1080 samsung plazma

My local TV repair guy. AVA TV and Audio a great guy how spent time discussing troubleshooting with me rather than the other TV repair guys that would not and only wanted my mone. located one board. He has orded it for me. If it comes thru and The Sears order comes thru, I may have potentally 2 of these boards in my hand next week. Each board I paid $130 for. Luckily I can return to sears. The other source will not take a return. Oh well. I don't go to a casino. But I do gable with repairs. Usually I win.

I have 3 cracked screen pn51s out in the shop, Im going to go check and see if any have this board if its bringing that kind of money, thats more than I usually make off tvs Ive fixed.

I have no idea, I opened one and checked power board and ysus and both were selling for under 20$, not worth my time to try and sell for parts. These seemed to be plagued with self cracking screens I just figured there was a glut of boards on the market and didn't investigate further. I ended up working late last night and didn't get a chance to pull model numbers. Hopefully will have some time this weekend.
