panasonic TC-P42X5 red led no picture no sound

I have a TC-P42X5 when I connect power and press the power button the red led on the front comes on but no blinking no relay clicking no picture and no sound. I have tried powering it on with everything unplugged from the board and no change. I do have steady standby power. Any suggestions where to go next?

Can be TV is in standby mode and just turn on it into a remote control or operating panel with the TV

Tried with remote control no difference

Does the light on set blink when you're using the remote...?

If not, check remote and check wiring etc of the remote sensor on the set.

It will turn on with the remote or rather the red light will turn on when I turn the set on with the remote but no blinks after that

When you turn it on, do you hear a click from a relay?

Can you supply pictures of the power board in the set?

No relay. I'd suspect A board, maybe wait for tw2005 to chime in as he's got some experience with this model I think?

Except for some possibly very early Panasonic models, on the US versions they don't go green ever. they don't even have a green LED. Not sure why! Red light is lit in standby AND when running.. with no clear distinction between states...

Make sure to get the 42" A board as the 50" one is not compatible.
