    Help-LG60PC1D

I have been working on this TV for a while now. I found the 5v line on the YSUS board was only 4 ohms resistance. I thought that was the problem, so I replaced the board. It STILL isn't working. When everything in the TV is connected, there is standby LED flashing and no sound from the TV, its dead. No clicking or anything.

I decided to start removing one board at a time to see if anything changes. I found that when the bottom left buffer board is connected to the top, the voltages drop out. I also found that if the ZSUS board is connected to the bottom buffer boards the voltages drop out.

I found that if I just have the power supplies connected to in the tv, the relays will click and I get all voltages for a few seconds then relay click again and voltages go to 0v.

I have a DC power supply. I started inputting 5v to see the reaction (high current spike). I get high current and only 3.5V on the YSUS board when the top bottom and top buffer boards are connected. When I disconnect the bottom buffer from the top, the current is good and I get 5V.

I also found that the voltages drops and current spikes when I have the bottom 5v connector on the YSUS board connected to the control board. When it is removed, voltages is 5v and normal current.

I tried connecting 5v into the control board, but no current spike and 5v is good.

I am getting frustrated with this tv. Can anyone give me some direction as where to go from here. Is the problem the control board or one of the buffer boards, or even the bottom boards.

    Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
    by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

    Assuming...

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

TCL 55S425 few horizontal lines, potential failure on both side of panel/buffer board
    by howardc64
All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
    • TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
    • Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault

Macbook 820-02773 Board short when trackpad connected
    by MalodicOne
Original fault was customer spilled milk on unit, no corrosion was found on the board. Took mainboard out of original case and LCD and swapped it into the fully functioning case and LCD.

Shorts show up all over the board when trackpad is connected only. Trackpad is used and fully functioning from another unit of same model. Voltage injection causes trackpad connector to get hot but nothing else, swapped on board connector to rule that out, same issue. Diode reading on IPD_MCU_INT_CONN is higher then reference board @ .935 expected is .803. Shorts show up on PPVBAT_AON_CHGR_REG and...
