    Sony KE32TS2U 32" plasma panel.

    Hey friends!

I got this pint sized Plasma display, it has a few lines down the left side that are not static in the fact they change color's and animate to the moving picture. I am hopping to get lucky and it will be just a dirty connection and all it needs is to be cleaned and reseated!

Looks like the horizontal buffers are built into the screen/ribbon cable. I will post some photos of it later tonight / tomorrow.

Its acctaully got a pretty nice picture for being a funky 825x1024 resolution 720p/1080i. Seems to have a ton of calibration functions too.

I have never seen a plasma this small outside of a 32" Vizio anyone know of any plasma display that is smaller? I would like to find it if there is!

LG made a couple of 32" sets, so did Hitachi--You'll have an Hitachi/Fujitsu panel in that Sony, I scrapped one about a year ago with a broken screen....

Ive got an Hitachi 32AV3000 (Same panel and driver electronics),--but no media-box so its utterly useless, although does work, --test-paterns only. and am struggling with an intermittent suicidal LG 32PG6000 that keeps blowing IGBT intermittently....

For TV's I think only LG and Fuj/Hit made small (32") Plasma panels, that some other makers, like Sony added their own signal stages (Mainboards etc) and boxed up as their own.....

As I remember, That Sony 32" was built like a brick shithouse, it had a plastic rear cover, then inside another solid steel cover over the set itself!

The Sony's AV connections are all built in. If they have Hitachi parts inside could you modify the one you have and use the Sony AV board?

I was thinking of that. Trouble is, with all the crap I have, not sure whats what! I think I kept all that set's stuff together though, but quite where, in which box is anyone's guess!
--I had to move a load of stuff quick when my job came to an end, some boxes I haven't opened since then....

Its only the Y-SUS, Control-board, and X-SUS thats Hitachi, along with the panel itself. I Think the PSU was 'MITZUMI' or summit like that. Everything else was SONY as I recall....

Ah, if the screen is bad on this one I actually found someone with a fully working screen lol not sure if I want to dump a ton of money into this little guy. If it was 1366x768 and had at least one HDMI (this one has DVI-I) I probably would spend a little more on it.

I have been trying to track a 32" Vizio plasma for a while now, something to take to friends houses when we do xboxone group night gaming.

What parts can be salvaged from a plasma with a damaged display panel?
            by SurrealMustard
I recently found myself the proud owner of a later-model Samsung plasma (the PN59D7000 for those keeping score at home) whose panel was, unfortunately, damaged in transport. I'm now preparing to part it out, but am curious as to whether or not any damage would have come to any of the components by attempting to power it up with the panel being broken. I read in one Avsforum thread (for whatever that's worth 😂) that the "scan driver boards" (by which I assume he means buffer boards) could be impacted by doing so. Is that actually the case? If so, since I don't intend on selling bad...

            65x900h with the panel from a 65x930d.

900H: model yr 2020, Samsung panel
930D: model yr 2016, Innolux panel

spec wise the panels are the same. the drivers and tcons are obviously different but what made me want to give this a try is that the wiring diagrams for the data signals going into the tcon for each tv were nearly identical. there are only a couple pins that i am unsure about and that is what brings me here.

the 930d has the DPS board where the 900h has none, however, if you follow the pins to the BM1 it would appear that the signals...

Bad Panel in Sony Bravia X850G
            by guidodroid
            Hello all,
I'm trying to understand what is the issue with my 26 months old Sony Bravia KD-65XG8505 (XBR65X850G).
It is just few months out of warranty, so Sony doesn't want to do anything, and the local replacement shop also tells me that it's not worth repairing (alhtough this model costed almost 1000 euros just 2 years ago...).

Few nights ago the TV started showing some horizontal lines and distorted colors/geometries in the bottom part of the screen (see attached photos).
The issue is not as bad as others that I've seen around, but is indeed noticeable...

Sony KDL-55W828B Hotspot in LCD panel
            by PlanB
            Hello everybody,

I need your expertise if my asumption about the failure of this TV is correct.

A Sony KDL-55W828B only shows vertical red stripes that vanish to the top when switched on.
When only the right side of the LCD is plugged into the T-CON board the right side shows a good image, while the left side is white.
When only the left side of the LCD is plugged into the T-CON board the LCD shows a complete white image.

I checked some signals on the T-CON board but was not able to find something strange. Then I checked the the caps...

Sony KD-70X690E Bravia; Bad TCON? Bad panel?
            by swrb898
What's wrong with my TV: the TCON, the panel, or something else? I'm stuck.

            Problem:

Last week, my Sony KD-70X690E 70" stopped displaying a picture. The TV powers on, and the back lights power on. However, the TV doesn't seem to boot up. I say this because the SONY splash-screen logo does not display, nor does any picture display, nor can I invoke a menu by pressing "Menu" on the remote. Other than back-light bleed, the screen is black.

My troubleshooting got me this far:

With the left-hand TCON to bottom-board ribbon cable...
