Hi nomoresonys, thank you for the interest. I was planning to give an update once the story is over but it's still going on!
So I went to a professional repair shop which is going to test the three boards (forming the power supply) one capacitor and other relevant items at a time (he told me he would desolder them and resolder them). Before that, I tried to ground the BL_ERR and the TV started to blink red four times instead of six times. I was not too sure what to make of that. I hope I did not damage the connector.
Also, I've never seen a bad LD board on Sony...Comment

OK so no BGA IC, then what could go bad temporarily are maybe those 4 electrolytics, but them are top brand, if i would be in you i would buy a very cheap chinese market multi tester with capacimeter/esr meter, and test them all, or give the board to the shop, the replacement of them is not so easy as the ground planes are big, since the set can fail to start so the problem is at cold, like all the bad electrolytics.. the metal cover could crate too heat, especially if the beast was hooked to the wall..Comment

Theres a couple of bl err lines on this looking at the schematic ?

The problem is not only "at cold". I mean if it has started, I can keep it working for 30 minutes, turn it off and then on and get the 6 red blinks. Not sure if that counts as "cold".
It has been hooked to a wall indeed. Thanks.Comment

I think I'm gonna test it with the parts coming back from the shop. From what you guys are saying, it is unlikely that there will be an improvement. Then I'll try to ground the other BL_ERR like tiki66 is saying and I'll throw the towel if it does not work.
Someone I know had this TV, bought a bravia 9 because of the error and I said I would have a go at fixing it although I am not sure of what to do with it as I'm more of a projector guy. I thought it was still a nice piece of equipment and that maybe I could give it to someone but it is really a pain to move from one place to another! I think that when I'm done with the shop and the BL_ERR, I would have gone as far as I reasonably could. Trying to buy boards seems to be a little too much. It can be expensive (the shipping can be $60!) and there is no guarantee of success. Thanks for your help everybody. I will keep you posted on what happens.Comment

OP: have you checked the el.caps. soldering on the led board? It's 30 seconds test..
so to repeat one second, TV set turns on with blinking error both when at cold and at warm?
It's a suspicious situation for a real electric fault, i would surely try to update the software.. as soon as possible..
otherwise the second suspicion is the main processor with some bad soldering.. i hope you would sell or give for free the set
and not trash it, it's a sin..Last edited by Davi.p; Today, 05:22 AM.Comment

by CurtissimoHi everyone.
I have a HP Elitebook 850 G8.
Serial: 5CG2324XM0
ProdID 6L8D5EC#ABA
It has a Winbond W25Q256JVEN Chip.
I need to remove BIOS Password.
I made a dump with an CHA341A programmer and NeoProgrammer 2.2.0.10.
Attached my dump.
I also used the HP Unlocker tool to create an unlocked file (I followed the guidelines)
I also downloaded latest HP BIOS Update (SP158137) which includes 3 .bin files. I found the Number T76 in my original dump, so I used: T76_01210000.bin

by matwanHello,
I have problem with SONY 55X90J. After several check status is as below;
1. Running power board as stand alone:
TCON_12V =~ 12.6V
EVDD V On Max 24V= 19V.
2.Running power board with TCON as stand alone:
Effect as below, attched.
3. When bottom LVDS cable is disconnected no blinks, but of course no TCON 12V and EVDD.
"I'm almost sure it's a defective panel, but maybe someone has encountered a similar issue on their screen.
Best regards.... -
by AK_777Hi everyone!
I have a Sony KD-65A1 TV with a fault – 4 red LED blinks. After disassembly and visual inspection, I found that the G76 power board and DKA board had been replaced. It is also possible that TCON was replaced, but I am not sure – there are a few marker marks that could be factory-made.
Based on assumptions, the previous service attempted to solve the issue by replacing potentially faulty components. I decided to investigate further, found a service manual, and figured out a way to power up the power supply unit autonomously and put the OLED panel and... -
by jchonHi I'm new to trying to repair TVs, but I saw a broken OLED offered for a reasonable price and thought I'd try my hand at it.
I found the service manual, which was critical to know where to probe.
https://www.manualslib.com/manual/20...1e-Series.html
With it I was able to determine that my DKA board was bad, when P_ON#1/2 gets enabled REG_12 on the DKA board collapses. I'm assuming one of the downstream regulators has a short, but I couldn't work out which rail/component and replaced the DKA board entirely.
Unfortunately the 5-blinks... - Loading...
