Wondering if it's a problem with the control board. I've added pics of the video and the back of the TV.

Re: Samsung UN55B6000VF Double Image
More likely a bad panel than anything else. Might be worth checking tab bonds. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: Samsung UN55B6000VF Double Image
This model is my new project and its got the double image coupled with horizontal lines issues. NOW, the guy on youtube with the tape mod/hack may be onto something. Ive been fiddling with the tab that operates the right hand of the screen(from front view(natural) of tv. So, it seems that Samsung has learned it lesson a tiny bit, they needed more pressure on the tabs, as before this is what fixed the issues they previously had for vertical lines. Well, now they have that pressure and its too much. The tape alleviates the pressure built into the connector, so you have to bulk up the tab against the connector a bit so it will ease off the tab a bit, and presto, lines and double image goes away. Im currently trying to get the exact pressure worked out but ill get before and after. May be a day or 2, im baby-sitting.Last edited by Redjess; 03-08-2017, 11:51 AM.Comment

by CornitoHello team,
I'm back with another tv and another problem.
I try to improve my knowledge on fixing TV, and all technics used until now are not fixing correctly the problem.
First, reboot issue, I use tape Method to find out the right side that cases the issue.
Then using this it's working for quite 1hour30, then at some point of time the image became double on the bottom for half the screen.
Then double image reduce in height and move to the top.
The image is like folded on around 1cm and the bottom has been moved to the top by 1cm.

by viewfindrHi there, I'm seeing some tips/advice on how to pinpoint what might be going on with my TV. This is a continued discussion from this thread, as users suggested I should start a new topic to discuss my problem. In summary:
Before I took the set apart, I started to see a double image come on after the set is powered on for a few minutes. (attachment #1).
I came across this YouTube video, which seemed to describe a very similar phenomenon from what I was seeing. (In summary, the video suggests unplugging one cable, and using a small clear piece of tape to cover various... -
by jason123Hi there,
I think it might be a bad panel but I thought I'd ask before I chuck it..
thin colored horizontal lines bottom and thin section on top. As it runs warmer, you can see some ghosting or double image. Right hand side of the screen darker then brighter (backlight is always on, so it's the actual LCD that gets darker and brighter)
Replaced the Main board, because I had one handy, no change.
Is it worth replacing TCON? disconnecting ribbon on one side of the panel, the lines appear still on the other side (unplugged side.)

by RubenlilyHello,
First of all I'm new here. While looking I found this amazing forum and I'm very happy I did. Now for my problem:
I picked up a Samsung UHD QLED QE50Q67TAU from 2021 for $50 knowing it was defective. The seller said it had black lines and that it could get stuck in boot randomly.
I've tried a new power cable, hard reset, opening up and jiggling all cables, pressing everywhere to see if I get a reaction but I've gotten nothing. I've tried the tape method but I've only managed to get the lines worse.
I'm no expert but I've done the tape... - Loading...
