    LG 37LC2D - No Signal

    Hi,
Hope you can give some guidance! This TV switches on, backlights and everything but no picture, I am getting "No signal" bouncing around screen and no inputs are displaying nothing.

I have tested the voltages on this PSU, all are fine apart from:
    6V - 0.59v
    3.4V - 1.24

I have replaced some caps on the secondard supply (dotted red in pic) as I had a few spares ones which are new, but I am still getting the same voltages. (i will order the other ones)

But what I noticed now, is that the big black/yellow thing, transformer? (in pic below) is rattling when the board is flipped over, as if something has broken inside.

Has anyone ever come across one of these failing? And would this cause those low voltages on the secondary side?

    Thanks for any help!

Requesting Help For GA-970A-DS3 rev. 1.0, No Post code, no RSMRST# signal
    by AstutePauciloquent
Hi everyone, over the past few months i have taken a deep dive into motherboard diagnostics and I love the challenge. Currently im trying to learn all about the signals that travel around the motherboard, such as frequencies, enable signals High and Low logic states etc. And i have been learning to read and using the Schematics for this board that i requested here on Badcaps forum, from a few months ago, this is such a great place for these.

I’ve been working on a GA-970A-DS3 (rev. 1.0) that does not post. This motherboard has been my main learning board. I would like share...

Powersupply has all the voltages - Monitor still no power
    by Capacitorial
    Hello guys,

I have a Philips 240B7QPJEB. The monitor seems completely dead.
I opened it and measured the voltages of the powersupply. I found that a mosfet was dead and replaced it.
On the connector, that goes to the TCON board, all voltages 15-19V and 5V are present.
The small connector on the left of the PSU has two cables with 18V and all the other have 0.2V. It connects on this small connector on the left ontop of the panel. I guess the backlight? Seens fine I guess.
The weird thing is, that the Power LED is powered over the TCON board.
    On The TCON...

Vizio M65Q7-H1 Red Vertical Strips fixed by tape blocking LC1 signal to half of the panel

    Failure Symptom

No picture, just red vertical stripes. Google search shows quite common problem for these recent Vizio M series although red vertical stripe pattern may differ. Some call it "Netflix" boot screen haha.

    Where is the short?

Panel has 4x buffer boards. Quickly found the 1/4 panel buffer board with the problem by selectively disconnecting buffer board flex cables.

Having recently fixed another Vizio with similar symptoms that was a shorted ESD diode array ( link ) Probed the ESD diode array but...

    Good morning.

I have posted here before and have gotten AMAZING advise (thank you!). I'm back for more. This BCaps Sub Forum is so well attended I thought I would post here.

What is a normal composite signal range for a C64?
    by Scruit
    Hello all,

Working on my first C64 / Breadbin / 250407. Purchased as non-working. Getting black screen.

More detail below, but for those that want to get right to the question.... Here are a few waveforms comparing the Pin15 output on the VIC chip (luma/sync) to the pin 4 on the AV socket (composite signal).

    https://imgur.com/gallery/PpqcqPY

My question is: Is the composite waveform range of 0.1v-1v too low for a c64?

    More detail:

Symptoms are that that I get...
