It's more likely that when the set crashes, it forgets to turn off the video output. The software for these is barely functional with many bugs and glitches, the digital tuner being the worst. I had one Vestel where if you entered the 7-day TV guide, the TV would shut off with the blinking light, but it left the backlight on, so you could slowly see the image fade away (as the T-con power was turned off.) I've had them crash when feeding them 1080p at 24Hz cinema framerate instead of 60Hz. etc. Bad software design and insufficient testing before release.

I have another video showing that when its started with the remote and it goes into fault mode the set is actually on but the inverter isn't I could tell this by shining a led torch at the screen and I could see the windows desktop, so could something be wrong with the circuit that tells the set to come on remotely ?

Ok I have done the reset and sort of narrowed down the problem when I did the reset I turned off my pc going to the hdmi and it powered on with the remote but when there is a signal going to hdmi it fails to start with the remote, I can do another youtube video if you would like to show whats happening as its hard to explain.
Edit still does the same thing with out hdmi.

Hard to tell from the photos, but it looks like a different main board unfortunately. Can still try a few things though.

Turn the TV on, switch to any SCART input. On the remote, press Menu then 4 7 2 5. It may take some attempts. The service menu should appear. Select the factory reset option and execute it. (The TV should turn off a few seconds later.)

Hello I have a 32" technika tv that has been running almost everyday since 25/12/07 it is a vestel manufactured tv and has a vestel 17pw20.1 psu (known to be junk) I replaced the capacitors on the psu around 2 years ago with rubycons. Anyway recently I have been experiencing a problem where the tv wont start at all with the remote (original remote) the power light flashes repeatedly and wont fire up but the tv will start with the side buttons and will run for a while but at random the tv will cut off and flash the power led just like it does with the remote issue. For some reason when powering on with the remote the voltage in the main capacitor completely goes but again with the side buttons the voltage in the main capacitor remains perfect and will fire on the set I haven't tested any of the components in the psu as it may not be a psu issue, if any one has any ideas please reply as this is driving me insane and I cant find anything on the internet, thank you.

Toshiba 50lf711u20 fire tv remote not pairing
    by Mc_Millian
    Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone could help my in pairing a remote with a Toshiba fire tv?
The Tv model number is: 50lf711u20 Rev B.

I've already replaced all the the circuit boards within the tv along with the I.R. sensor receiver.

I've tried 3 different remotes which should be fully compatible with this TV.

Oddly enough. A few if the buttons on all of the remotes actually work. Even without pairing...which makes no sense.

The power button, along with the volume, back, select, and directional...

DeLonghi AC Remote only accepts 3V
    by cstout
Hello all, I've been looking into this portable air conditioner's remote control and can't find what could be causing the problem - or possibly this remote is just terribly designed.

The remote only works at exactly 3V - if I drop it any lower, using my bench power supply, to say, 2.9V then the remote will not flash the display and turn off. I don't have any AAA batteries that are exactly 1.5V each so I'm not sure if this remote is designed this way - to only use the freshest possible batteries, or if there's a failed component in the mix.

    I can't find any schematics...

HiSense 55A7500F won't obbey to remote after power on
    by edugimeno
Hi! I have this TV set that does the following:
    1) I press the red power button on the remote
    2) The TV turns on normally
    3) After that it won't take any other command from the remote, neither power off, volume, channel, NOTHING
    4) We need to either pull the main cable or use the built in button at the bottom to select funcion OFF

Then after it's off, it would again accept the TURN ON from the remote and same again

    BUT:
-The remote does show the correct IR beam while observed thru a phone camera
-The TV works fine while using the MiRemote...

Pioneer VSX-522-K remote control not working???
    by tmhobadcap
I have this receiver for at least 10 years. Usually, we just use the remote for turning on/off and adjusting the volume. Recently, the remote control started not able to turn the receiver on. Later, the volume also could not be adjusted by the remote control.

At first, I thought that it was the usual problem which can be fixed by cleaning the contacts on the switches and the pcb. I opened the remote and clean it with alcohol. The remote did work again after that. But after one day, it did not work again. I opened it again and clean with alcohol and contact cleaner. Again it worked...
