Panasonic TC-P55VT60 12 blinking red lights

Hello,

Recently, my Panasonic plasma tv shut off on me and I'm getting the 12 blinking red lights. If I disconnect the power and reconnect it, it will work fine for about 15 minutes or so and then shut off again with the 12 blinks. From searching around a bit I've seen 2011 model tvs from Panasonic have the 12 blinks as meaning a bad A board. Is this correct for 2013 models as well?

I'm not experienced with electronics and have never attempted a tv repair before, but my warranty was up a few weeks ago and I'm unsure how high the charges with be with a service center. I would like to consider fixing it myself if it's possible. Any help or advice is appreciated.

An intermittent 12 blink fault sounds quite likely to be an A board.
Contact Panasonic. They have sometimes been known to allow for an extra month or two out of warranty.

Thanks. I will give Panasonic a call first and see if they're willing to fix it.

Well it is a no go with Panasonic. My purchase date was a year and 5 weeks ago so they're unwilling to cover it. I guess I will now try replacing the A board to see if that works.

I had the same problem with my panasonic TC-P65GT30 I had 12 blinks first take plug A11 from the A board and if the blinks go away and tv cuts off and on normal and then it is the speakers check the wire on the speaker to see if has bare wire which is causing a grd or sht either repair or repl if A Board still blinks after removing A11 repl Board
