    Samsung TV UN60KU6270F power supply

Trying to learn electronics repair as a hobby. I have no formal training in electronics, circuits, etc. Everything I know, which isn't much, has been learned from watching youtube videos, reading books, forums, etc. This means, sometimes I have a hard time understanding and interpreting what's important when I look at datasheets, and such.

My brother has a TV that I'm working on now. He said he was watching it, he heard a loud pop and it went off. I used my DMM to check the fuse, it was blown. From watching lots of hours of electronics repairs on youtube, I figured that was just a symptom of something further in circuit that was faulty. So I checked bridge rectifier and found DC +/- shorted. Pulled rectifier out of circuit and tested it. It's fine. DC short still existed. Checked main smoothing caps and further up the circuit until finding shorts on QP8901CS, DP807 and/orQP802CS. I don't recall which of the 2 mosfets was shorted, one wasn't but I will replace both regardless. I did a search for answers to my question here, before posting this question and saw that several others have had similar faults and it is suggested to also replace the PFC chip. I'll do this as well. The main filter caps look fine with LCR meter in circuit, but they're cheap, I assume, and will probably replace them as well. The NTC (NT811 designator) reads 18 ohms at room temperature, and if I heat it up, it drops to around 3 ohms. The power supply board shows heat discoloration under this NTC as well as several other areas, particularly around some diodes and resistors.

So my questions are - is the NTC reading appropriately? it's marked 5D-13 I've looked at the datasheet but having a hard time interpreting it.

The shorted N-channel mosfet is marked 60R360P. It's made by magnachip and is not available from reliable sources like digikey/mouser. Searching by part number brings up chips from infineon. They have the same Rds, but, power dissipation is considerably lower (if i'm reading the datasheets correctly) at 23W vs 83W. Original chip also has drain current of 11A vs 10A. Vds is 650 on the infineon vs 600 on the magnachip. It seems that the power dissipation might be a deal killer, but what would I replace it with?

The shorted dual diode is marked SF10A600HPI. Searching for that brings up https://www.datasheets360.com/pdf/-2092256278779659234 from Kodenshi Auk. Searching digikey/mouser I come up with https://services.taiwansemi.com/stor...RIES_M2105.pdf so SFF1008G should work?

Thank you for your patience with my ignorance.

Samsung BN44-00262A H37F1-9SS power supply help finding blown value components!
    by cheeky2
This Samsung combined power supply and inverter was replaced a while ago from a Samsung 37inch LE37B530P7W TV. However I would like to repair this one.
I have replaced the Mosfets Q1820 and Q1821 ( FDPF7N50U) which were both blown and the fuse FM802S. The schematic for this power supply that is attached doesn't relate to this power supply as the driving transistors and diodes are D1830, D1831, D1832, D1833, Q1811 & Q1810 are nowhere on the schematic!
Does anyone know what the components for D1830, D1831, D1832, D1833, Q1811 & Q1810 should be? I ask as I did change the Mosfets...

Desoldering gun station modified to use a 18 volt @ 20 amp switching power supply
    by sam_sam_sam
I have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump

One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy...

Samsung UN75J6300AFXZA LCD TV Power Supply Troubleshooting
    by MtnManMike
    Hello,

I'm hoping to get some help figuring out how to troubleshoot this power supply board. The television is a Samsung UN75J6300AFXZA, version no. UH03. The power supply board has two model numbers on it, L75S1 and BN44-00723C. As far as experience level, I'm familiar with recapping boards in terms of safely going through the soldering motions, choosing suitable replacement parts, and so forth, but as far as understanding the various functions of each part of these TV power supply boards, I am a rank beginner.

When I plug the TV in, the screen flashes on and off and...
