    Samsung SPS4243 tries to light up

    I've replaced main board, power board, X Board, Y Board, DC Board, only thing left is the A1 Y-Board attachment, and the E & F Buffers.
    The panel flashes every other second for 1/2 second.

    I learned not to mess with sets this old, 2006 but does anyone have any add'l ideas except a bad panel? When jumping cables at the DC board, troble shooting per service manual, the flashing quit. I then ordered a DC Board, Y Board, no help. Then installed new X Board and power supply. I removed the Y Board ribbons, and reconnected, then the flashing started again.

    A1 Board is impossible to find, could be the culprit?

      I hope this is the right forum to post in despite not technically being a repair, but still a question of swapping boards.

      I thought I'd explore the possibility to upgrade an existing working Samsung ue55nu7096u with the logic board (and power board if needed) of a newer model (ue55ru7105k) of the same size and appearance (and resolution). The reason being I'd like the extra inputs of that board including component in, an extra HDMI port and bluetooth. Its panel is broken so I have no use for the board otherwise.

      The models launched in 2018 and 2019 respectively....

      Problem

      This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

      Hey everyone,

      This power supply board is hard to find but there are repair kits available. This board had a blown fuse, FP801S, blown PFC MOSFET, QP802CS and ceramic cap, CP809. I replaced them with parts I already had and tested the rest of the parts that would've come in the repair kit and they were fine. I powered the board up on the bench expecting, in typical Samsung power supply board fashion, to see all my output voltages but, nothing. 0 volts on CNL801, CNM801 and CNT801. The only thing I have is 170vdc on the filter caps. No standby voltage either.
