Has anyone had any experience in doing a component-level repair of these boards? The fault code and subsequent diagnosis seems to indicate it's the 16.5V to 15V DCDC converter that is playing up.
I've tried to reverse engineer the board by looking at it but I can't pick the which part of the circuitry is doing that job.
The owner said that it got progressively worse until it would power-down on every start. I still think that might suggest electros, and there's a few small ones I'm yet to changeover.
