    Vizio replacement boards Suffix differences

Does anyone know what the suffix means and if it matters on Vizio LCD TV Replacement boards? such as (5C) (5D) (X2) ??? my original has (5C) if I buy a replacement with same part number but a different suffix, will it still work?

I see a board on ebay that has a yellow sticker with the part number, it appears to have a white sticker under that, and then some small round inspection stickers that are not normally there, maybe it was a warranty repair board, I don't know.
Anyone have any comments on this? It will be appreciated.

    Thanks.

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
    by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

    Assuming...

Three 820-01700 32GB Logic Boards Same Issue: Won't Wake From Hibernate
    by ugamazing
I have three identical-spec 820-01700 boards (2.6/32/512), and ALL THREE boards came to us with the same fault, from different sources: The boards don't wake from hibernation with the keyboard or lid, they ONLY wake when you press the power button. I understand this is a very minor issue, but the boards must be fixed!

We will of course begin with the obvious (checking lid signals), but I couldn't help but notice these three boards were all 32GB variants. Has anyone noticed an issue relating to these 32GB boards in particular? I of course don't think it's a RAM issue, but it's bizarre...

Vizio P659-G1 Screen Removal / Backlight Replacement
    by bstewara
    Hi All,
Has anyone had the experience of replacing backights on the “P” series Vizio tv?
    Model number P659-G1
This type tv has a very small bezel holding the screen in and I’m not sure how the bezel/screen is assembled. ( I’m hoping the screen is not epoxied to the frame)
Before I attempt this I thought maybe someone on this forum has performed this backlight replacement procedure.

    Thanks in advance...

    Backlight replacement mess, Vizio V505-G9
    by giddyupngo
Hello, I would appreciate your expertise on this. I have about 5 years experience with copier repair, so I have done a lot of board and component replacement. This is the first LCD TV I tried to repair, and it really humbled me. The issue was that on power on the TV power light would go on and then fade out seconds later, and there was no image at all, screen stayed black.

I thought this meant there was a power board problem, not realizing that the power light fading out was by design, probably so the light would not distract the TV watcher. This is not my TV, so I wasn't familiar...

Apple M1 Boards & Exclamatory Error?
    by ugamazing
We've now created a stack of 10 boards that have the same issue, which we suspect to be CPU-related. The issue is very simple--the board will not boot to anything, only showing the exclamatory sign inside a circle. No amount of DFU/restore, wipe/erase, etc, will resolve the issue. No boards have physical damage. We went ahead and replaced the SSD nands on two boards (one 02020, one 02016) and the issue remained exactly the same. We are considering replacing the CPU on one of the boards using a locked CPU, just so we can see if it resolves the issue.

Has anyone else run into this...
