    LG 47CS570-UD 47" LCD TV - NO Picture/Sound

Hello all. Hopefully you can shed some light on the issue I am dealing with my spare bedroom TV. I have a LG 47CS570-UD 47" LCD TV. Its build date is in sometime in 2012 and since getting the TV in 2013, it hardly was ever used. Well at the end of 2013 I tried to turn it on and nothing. The red light blinks two times and turns blue like it normally would when powered on. However we get no display or sound from the TV. It acts like it's not even on what so ever besides the blue light.

We have tried the hard reset method on it and still no luck. Being I am unable to find any information online about what this exact issue is, I was trying to find out if a certain part has failed (which I can order) or there is something else I can do? This TV is just so new for us not to consider trying to somehow get it working again.

I have already opened the TV up and I didn't see anything that could be damaged. All the capacitors still look perfectly fine. I was thinking maybe it was a power supply issue. But after checking out what I could with a volt meter, power looked fine… I am just not sure if I should try replacing the power supply or look into replacing the mainboard? It seems many online suggest to replace mainboards in LG TV? I just wish I knew what the issue was so if the part I am buying, will actually fix the TV and I am not guessing?

The Toshiba's are known for a bad eeprom. Maybe LG could have some sort of problem too? I would suspect it's in the mainboard if you are getting voltages out of the power board. Check all your fuses on all the boards too.

Yeah Fuses looked good but I will double check.

Can I just buy a replacement Mainboard swap it in and hope for the best?

It appears the Mainboard part/model number is EAX64290501

I don't know if the boards have to be an exact match like Panasonic. I don't think so. Search it or your model number on shopjimmy. It will give you an exact match. If they don't have one, check tri state module, moduslink tv parts, and payless components. I have had great luck with all three of them. I even have had good luck on ebay.

That's my only concern. But reason why I am trying to find the same matching model #. I have been lucky to see them on ebay for pretty cheap. Guess I will try replacing the main board with a replacement one to see if I get lucky and it fires on... Thanks for the suggestions of the other websites to buy from.

I see there is alot of tv's with that number you posted. Make sure you get the right number from shopjimmy. Also, make sure your panel sticker matches the ones from shopjimmy to get the exact part you need. I see there is two different versions for that tv.

            EBR73114017 and EBT61983003

But they have the same panel sticker number and the same notes. Got me which one you need. Maybe look at the pics and see which one looks like an exact match.

I pulled the tv apart again to look at the board in detail. There is an orange sticker that says EBT61983003. Then there is a white sticker not far from the orange one that says EBR74404706. I found a EBT61983003 on ebay pretty cheap so I guess I will try that one.

I just wonder if LG made a newer model of the same board to possibly fix what could be a common issue with the one I currently have?

So I swapped the replacement main board into the TV yesterday and luck would have it fired right up like it was never broken. So seems the common issues on this is the mainboard failing. Hopefully this mainboard lasts longer then the less then 1 year I had with the original.

Samsung UE60KU6079 backlight okay mainboard responsive, no picture, no sound
                  by Ierwin
                  Hello everyone,
Ive got a UE60KU6079 on the workbench that is giving me some headaches trying to troubleshoot.
The previous owner stated that there had been white dots on the screen which from the description sounded like some lenses fell of the backlight LEDs.
He had opened the TV from the back, trying to get to the backlight, supposedly gave up, reassebled everything and gave the TV to me.
I expected the worst like ripped COF cables or a cracked panel but could not find anything like that yet.
Anyway I still fully expect that there has been something seriously damaged...

T-con suspect issue. Both ribbon cables no picture. One ribbon cable ok. (58pus8545)
                  by Tr0ll
Hi guys! I realized you have a lot of knowledge here so i am hoping you could point me in right direction with my odd issue.

The Tv is a Philips 58PUS8545/12, it had no picture but working backlights.

                  Original T-con:
Opened the Tv and tested to unplug one ribbon cable at a time. With this test i could see that i got fine picture on both halves as long as there was only one ribbon cable connected, with two connected picture were gone.

                  First replacement T-con:

I thought it might be t-con and ordered new t-con from china(supposedly tested)...

Samsung UN60EH6000F Black Screen, Backlight and Sound Good. Power Cycle Returns Picture
                  by Mgiffune
I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and

                  Anthem MRX500 - no sound

                  Dear Electronics Experts:

I have the following problem I am trying to troubleshoot. Unfortunately, I have contacted Anthem themselves and even a local distributer but I am not having much luck. Also, I have scoured the internet and unable to obtain a service manual. The Anthem service rep has also replied that he is unable to provide me with any service documentation. I have performed numerous searches on the internet and cross-referenced a few other AV receiver makers (Denon, Marantz, Onkyo) and found certain similarities to block diagram...

un60j620dafxza - Samsung No Display Problem
                  by stylishconsultant
                  Hi All,

                  Need help.

I have a samsung un60j620dafxza led tv. When I plug it in it has no display, no sounds, and no standby lights.

So I opened the tv and disconnected the power to the mainboard and the backlight powered up. This according to many people says that this is a mainboard
problem. I checked the voltage coming from the stb and I read 1.3 volts on pins 1,3,5 and 7 which are low volts instead of 13 volts which i think the lcd panel
might be drawing too much power from the power supply that it prevents the right voltage going to the mainboard....
