Hi I am having an issue with the LED backlight of this TV. I can see the picture with a flash light, so I determined it was a backlight issue.
Initially, after opening it I found 2 shorted and 1 open LED on 2 strips (total of 4). I removed the LEDs and shorted the pads together to verify if the backlight would work.
Testing it, I found the backlight turned on and I measured 54V when TV was in standby (off), and 100v when TV was turned on. The 4 strips each contain 9 LEDs, so 36 in all minus 3.
Instead of putting it back together I decided to replace...

by edugimenoHi There!
Having fixed 5-6 TV sets by replacing full LED strips, and having watched other people fix that by replacing just one LED in the strip, my question now is what should I consider before doing so.
At this time I have some old strips removed from TV's with all but one LED working. Are there different voltage/current LED on different strips? Are 99% of them just the same and interchangeable?
How do you find which specific model is needed for each strip? When I check if a LED is OK by attaching the multimeter leads to the individual led pads on the strips I... -
by gabrielA7Does not turn on, lights 3 of the 4 LEDs and turns off and stays like this, presses the power and repeats.
I saw that the room LED lights up only when the screen is connected, so quiet.
We have all the power supplies, even processor, 1.8V
One thing I found strange, it has a very low resistance in the Vcore is giving 1 Ohm , work with notes and such, I know that this is normal in some processors but with this resistance only take video card so found it strange.
I suspect that there may be some leak in the processor.
Anyway, when I press the power, it... -

by KingfreddieOk.. this is the story:
Have an old Samsung LED 3D TV (UE55F6475). First it started to lose light on the lower 40% of the screen now and then. Like for 10-60 mins and then it would work again. Then a bit later it just got stuck in that position. The lower 40% of the screen is dark, and it gets progressively darker the lower u go so it's obviously that LED strips where not working. I also looked for similar errors online and saw an exact copy and on that one it was faulty LED strips.
This is kinda how it looked, just that mine were at the bottom of the screen:
