Good day, I am hoping for a little help narrowing my problem down. Currently my Samsung UN55E46000 is giving me some difficulty. Mainly there is no picture, when i turn TV on i hear the start up sounds but there is no picture.
I have taken the back panel off and checked for bad caps but do not see any. Voltages from power board to main board are all OK based on the posted voltages, and the fuse has been checked to be fine.
I was initially considering the inverter board, but I have noticed the following oddities that are making me consider it is the main board (BN41-01778A)
1. TV turns on as soon as it is plugged in, and power button has only turned it off once after about 20 attempts. With the cover off I can also see that the backlight is working fine, as this comes on as soon as you plug in the TV and does not shut off until you have unplugged it (can't seem to get power button functioning properly)
I do not want to replace both boards if I do not have to and I am leaning towards replacing the main board (BN41-01778A) before the inverter board (V546HK3-CPS1).
I will try to post pictures tomorrow but I do not think they will help much, nothing is visibly wrong with either boards and I have checked and reseated all connectors. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
