Toshiba 42HL196 3 flashes

Ok this one has got me ticked off! Toshiba 42HL196 has 3 lights flash over and over. I had read this is a common problem for this set. I ordered a repair kit online that came with Q880, D892,D887,D883,R883,R884put it all in and same thing no help. I read here on the forum to put in 2 others Q820 and Q860 I first put in Q860 and tested No difference. Then put in Q820 and also no help but I rear the relay clicking over and over again. Not sure where to go now as everything I have read on this set replacing those should have worked.

167V then drops a few with every relay click then back up to 167V Also just noticed with the aditional relay clicking all the time now after replacing Q880 the red light flashes 3 times then pause then 2 then pause then 1 then nothing but relay click.

When I had my 42hl196. It had the same issue when I first got it. 3 blink with relay clicking over and over. I replaced all 3 ic q880,q860and q820 all at the same time and it fixed that issue

budm, not sure what you want me to do? Follow the flow chart and says replace power board. Can't do that. did you want me to hook up the 2 resistors like you did?

Yes, you can do stand alone test like I did so you can measure some voltages.

Can you tell me where the bulb is soldered to? I can't quite make it out.

Soldered to the 12V pin and the ground pin of the connector P807B or at the two legs of capacitor C890 which is the filter cap for the 12VDC as shown in the SCH.

Ok budm, hooked it just like your pictures and heard relay but no light.

There are two relays, Power relay SR80 (it runs on 5VSTBY power supply) which is on when the POWER signal is applied, then the SR81 relay which runs off the 12V. The relay that clicked on right now is the Power relay but not the SR81 relay which runs off 12V.
So you need to recheck your work on that IC Q880 STR-W6765 to see why it is not putting out 12VDC.

Your soldering works looks fine form what I can see.
So what are in the kit? It said the kit contains 6 components.
We will have to check the voltages on all the pin of the IC next.
