XR-85X93L Sony Mini LED No Power

Been a while since I posted but I got this TV for free luckily only about a year old. I plan on gifting it to my dad.

Plug in the TV no power no indicator late nothing.
I checked the 12 volts on the power supply with nothing plugged in and it doesn't give any voltage. Check standby voltage 3.3 volts. Check PS on 0 volts. i jump PS on and standby voltage and still no 12 volts. The main caps give 178 volts. Looks like they are working.

Appears something is wrong on the 12 volt line. Both fuses on the board are good. I'm trying to follow the 12 volt line down if that's actually the problem but I can't figure anything out. I'd prefer to repair the board if possible because the actual board is roughly 200 bucks. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know I'll be gone for 3 days but I figured I would post it now. Thanks again

it sound power _ON circuit., start with optocoupler PH022 , test it out side the circuit... you can also take out PH024 the one belong to BL_ON and use it to Power_ON.

but you have 3.3V STBY... so why the front Indicator out !!!

Will do! Also no idea about the indicator.. sometimes with Sony that I've got when you plug in there is no indicator on/present but sometimes there is. All I can think of, I'll check the voltages on this when I get back

How do I test a octocouplers? Do I use ground from main cap to test each leg on hot side? (Does this mean anything?) And then take it out and test it in diode mode or something? Never actually tested a octocouplers B4.

if you have STB 3.3V al east should be back just for short time power on from MN.
rread yours octocouplers label and search after its FUNCTIONAL BLOCK DIAGRAM to understand how to test out side the boards...

Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 - no power
            by PantherDave
            Hi all!

I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅

I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

            Asus Probook P5440UF-XB74 power issue
            by GLISIT
            Hi all,

TL;DR - this laptop is driving me nuts with the oddball power-related behaviors. Appreciate any insight you can provide!

I'm experiencing a power issue on an Asus Probook P5440UF-XB74. Although I've worked with electronics and computers for decades, this is my first attempt at getting into motherboard-level component troubleshooting. Any help the community can provide is greatly appreciated!

A few weeks ago I was using the laptop (on battery power) for a Zoom meeting. The battery was running very low (long meeting) but I wasn't worried about...

Sony 55X900E no standby light, no power. Replaced mainboard already
            by noinimod
            No standby red light, nothing
This Sony has a separate AC->DC power adapter supplying 19.5V to the TV power board (JK3)

Disconnected JK3 power board from main board, checked voltages on all the pin outs

At a few pins I can see the power supply providing 19.5V to the main board

Based on the service manual triage.. it seems to be pointing towards the power board (JK3) being the most possible culprit

LED light turns on when I disconnect LED driver board ribbon from mainboard (so i thought it is the mainboard,...

Asus Z97-a power cycle, no boot no cpu voltage
            by meraklinetx
Hello, I have an asus Z97-A motherboard and it doesn't start which was working properly before, the problem isn't related by ram, ram slots or psu (I changed all and nothing work), the exact problem is when you switch it on , it starts and after 1 seconds (no boot or display picture) it's off and then on cycle continuously until you power it off from psu also it's responding to the power switch for turning it off if you keep pressing it 3 or 4 seconds (power button pin has 3.3v) , also when you start it with eatx 12v socket connected this is happening (power cycle also all voltages are resetting...
