    47LS4500-UD, Help please.

I picked up a LG 47LS4500-UD the other day with storm damage.

The power supply was shorted for the standby voltages with the mainboard connected.
Removing the mainboard and powering up the power supply gave me all my voltages. (3.3, 5, 12, and 24).

So I ordered another motherboard, and received it today, and I put it in, the standby voltage is steady, but no light on the front, and no way to turn on the tv. Now the strange thing about this is that the tv uses a touch control for the front panel, but the connector going to the io board has NO voltage that I can find going out to the board.

I can power on the ps with the new mainboard attached, and all the voltages look good, but no signs of life from the tv.

The original mainboard in the unit was a EBT62204211, but per shopjimmy, I used a EBT62204207 as a substitute part.

    Thanks.

un60j620dafxza - Samsung No Display Problem
      by stylishconsultant
      Hi All,

      Need help.

I have a samsung un60j620dafxza led tv. When I plug it in it has no display, no sounds, and no standby lights.

So I opened the tv and disconnected the power to the mainboard and the backlight powered up. This according to many people says that this is a mainboard
problem. I checked the voltage coming from the stb and I read 1.3 volts on pins 1,3,5 and 7 which are low volts instead of 13 volts which i think the lcd panel
might be drawing too much power from the power supply that it prevents the right voltage going to the mainboard....

No Standby Light on Samsung UN65MU6300FXZA with Mainboard BN94-12440E
      by Michael Long
      I had a Dead Samsung UN65MU6300FXZA with Mainboard BN94-12440E
Dead / No Power / No Standby Light results after power company had three
consecutive power outages on/off/on/off/on/off after which TV was rendered unresponsive.

After exploring the issue found Mainboard was the fault. Then with research on this site determined IC1604 was the suspect. The IC1604 is a surface mounted device (SMD) EEPROM, Winbond Model 25Q40CLSIP. A read on this EEPROM came back with all FF FF FF FF FF in all registers blank and empty of data. I had a spare mainboard with intact IC1604 and utilized...

iMac A1224 PSU, 614-0421 - no standby voltages
      by Crystaleyes
      Hi chaps.

Having recently picking up two dead 2008 iMacs, one is now working, however there is still one to repair.

I was told that they both had failed power supplies, and seeing how I intend to crack SMPS repairs, it was a challenge not to ignored.

Anyway, this PSU in question had already had someone having a pop at soldering.

The current problem is (at the very least) in the primary side.

      Fuse is ok
      MOV is ok
      NTC is ok
      Bridge rectifier is ok (~380vDC)
      Fat filter cap is ok

Samsung UE46F6400AWXXC not powering on, standby LED off
      by UltimateNeutrino
Hello, since yesterday our Samsung UE46F6400AWXXC no longer powers on, with the standby LED off. It turned off when someone attempted to clean it, not sure if related. A few days ago, there was a similar issue, but it was solved after unplugging and replugging the power. Additionally, another user of this TV reported issues of the screen turning off randomly, which were solved changing the channel.

I originally suspected the PSU, but if the mainboard is unplugged the PSU relay closes and the backlight turns on. It's only when the mainboard is connected that the relay doesn't close...
