LG 42LF65 - intermittent power on (slow to power on), audio & picture glitches

Fault caused by bad capacitors. It's nice to get an easy one now and then .

Scope picture shows ripple on 3.4V rail as a result of bad cap on the output of buck converter. Over 600mVp-p. Audio makes horrible noise now and then!

Also, the 5V rail measures 4.5~5V while trying to boot (standby light flickering or dead), but TV when working it is 4.2V. Multimeter average voltage can be misleading!

All bad caps Samwha WB but will replace the lot - a few bad apples spoil the lot.

    42" FullHD 1080p set.

Worth also checking those inductors and the caps on the MB too --Looks like a similar/same MB that I'm having Orrible trouble with! (Ends in -404(0) )

They can cause a huge variety of problems--allegedly....
