Re: Kdl-40v3000 1 red blink then back to green
Solid green sounds like it is turning on normally.
No backlight? Any sound?
Pictures of the TV boards?
Have you checked if your PSU is outputting OK voltages? Most SONYs have outputs labelled.
Check for 24V & BL ON at inverter...Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

This uses a high voltage inverter - you cannot check it with a meter. Did you check BL ON and BL ERR (if present?)Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Yes but they could be variously labelled ON/OFF, BLON, INV_ON, etc. For now just locate backlight on signal. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Not applicable to all panels, especially these newer ones with a strong anti-reflective coating on the panel. (Reflects panel light easily.)Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Hello, Badcaps is my last resort. I am the first owner of the monitor. I reached almost every repair store in my area, but no one even wanted to hear about troubleshooting an old CRT monitor. At this point, I have been trying to figure it out by myself, but I have no idea where to start or look for.
I wish to know how to think and locate a failing component. I will put all my efforts to learn and contribute.
