Samsung hlr4667wax/xaa dmd board?

I just recently replaced the color wheel in this tv. The lamp, color wheel, and ballast were working fine before the color wheel broke. Now; whenever i have everything connected properly and in the right places; I dont hear any spinning of the color wheel; no buzzing from the ballast; and get no lamp. Because if im not mistaken; in order for the lamp to light; first; the color wheel has to spin up; then the ballast has to fire; then the lamp is suppose to fire. And i know its not my lamp as i took it to a place and had it tested and it lit up just fine. I looked at the lamp also to make sure its not cracked or blown out and it does not appear to be; plus if it was it wouldnt have lit up when tested. Does this mean my dmd board is bad since the board provides power for the color wheel; and im not hearing any spinning of the wheel? Thanks matt.

What is the chassis number (L3 or L6), and what is the part number for the color wheel you received?
Is there a version number like PU02 or PW01 ? should be on the label on the back or the small label on the side

Another thing to look at does the ballast board look like it is perpendicular to the rar of the chassis or is it on a slight angle to the right?

Make sure the flat ribbon cable is in the correct way (foil contacts to connector contacts) it can go in backwards and not make connection.
I always referred to Samsung as SamsJunk because every tv with the same model number was different, We would order parts 3-4 times and sometimes never get the correct parts. Even after sending Samsung pictures of the original part and part number.

Isnt this the set you need to re-set something when the wheel is replaced--Or am I thinking a different set.....

I dont think you need to change any jumper on this tv unless im mistaken. I put everything back together after putting the new color wheel in and still I got no color wheel spinning, no buzzing from the ballast; and no lamp lighting up. This sort of leads me to believe it is possibly the dmd board that is bad. So; with that in mind; I bought a used but in fully working order dmd board for my model dlp tv. I just hope i did not waste my money on doing this when it could be just the jumper that is the problem. The thing is; where is the jumper for the color wheel? Where do i look for it to see if there is one or not; and do i keep it in there or do i take it out and keep it out? I seem to learn something new about these dlp tv's and the way things work inside them on a regular basis as of late. I am more of the type of person that would rather save themselves a some bucks by trying to fix something like this myself; rather than pay who knows how many hundreds of dollars to have a tech come out to the residence here and take a look to see what the issue could be.

You could install the old color wheel, eliminating anything else, as the old color wheel worked, did'nt it? just no color on screen.

No; the old color wheel broke; which is why I had to replace it; but when it was replaced; I did not switch the jumper because I didnt know that you may have to switch it; but now that i do know im gonna go take a look at the component tray with the optics on it and see whats up.

When you say the color wheel Broke, do you mean the glass shattered, or do you mean broke as in would not spin. was the tv working with the old color wheel (even if the glass is broken) it should still spin up and allow the lamp to turn on and give a non colored picture. You could just plug the 2 leads into the dmd to check that. you don,t have to reinstall the old color wheel.

Well I also just noticed that the dmd board setup in the pic where it shows the jumper is different than what I have. My original dmd board does not have any rectangular holes next to the dmd heatsink. So this pic is showing the wrong setup. My exact model number is hlr4667wax/xaa. That one in the pic on that page is not my model. Please advise where to go from here as I can not find whether or not this one has a jumper. I looked at the dmd
Board but did not see any jumper that looked like it could be removed.

I don't have the old color wheel anymore. It's been disposed of. And I already have the new one in place. If I could post a pic of the current dmd board I would but there is no way to attach files to these posts I don't believe.

Also; one other thing; The pic of the heat sink setup and dmd fan has those white like "lines" on the dmd board cover. My original dmd board cover does not have those white lines; so this must be for a different model samsung dlp; unless that is a reflection in the pic of something else; but I dont believe it is. Plus I do not see any rectangular holes on mine like in the pic; so with that in mind; where do i find the jumper for my model dlp tv? the model number again is hlr4667wax/xaa and again its samsung. its a 46" dlp.

Is your new color wheel an AIR bearing or BALL bearing?

That Im not sure of RJ; but it is new out of the box. All i know is the part number is bp96-00674a. And i was assured from the guy i bought it from that it is the right one for my tv.
