What do we know about Panasonic TH-42PZ70 Plasma?

Ive just picked one up--that the guy has 'got-at' He's taken the covers off the PSU relays, broken the insides of them, and generally messed around...

The initial fault according to him was the set would go to start up, std-by light flash red for a second or so, go green, fans fire up-- then completely shut down
--He heard the relays operating--so had a go at them!

I just dunno why I get involved in some of these type issues!

Set is still in back of car at the mo--just thought what was known about these--rather complicated looking sets....

10 blinks likely - thermal fuse in transformer
7 blinks also possible - bad SC board or bad plasma panel

Ah--Right!

Bunged it in the garage at the mo, I'll search out a few old PX60 PSU's I have--to nick their relays!

I scored a Philips 42" Plasma this morning--Was just outside in the street on the pavement by the bus-stop!
--Wasn't there very long, ended up in back of me car PDQ!

Usual thing with the Philips, C2508 in PSU, and for one of these--Not too bad a picture...

Having sorted that, It gives me some get-up-and-go to drag the Pan outta the garage and up 3 flights of stairs! Least its lighter than the Philips!
