Re: Samsung PS51D550 51" Plasma - Issue? Any Help?

    Gentleman,

After many attempts and allot of research my set is stuck where i was a few months later.

So i really want the set to work again so i took it to the Samsung agent and they confirmed that both X-main and Y-main is faulty. So i paid them for the parts nut now there is no y-main available anymore i can get a x-main but need both.

Has somebody found a remedy for these sets that is only five years old and now they are out of spares already.

    Please

Samsung ps51d550 plasma tv repair help
      by jshhh
      Hi all,

I have an old Samsung ps51d550 that would power on with no picture. I was testing the voltages on the boards based on some advice I'd seen online, I took off 2 of the boards to try test the mosfets, but couldn't really get at them...I left it a while, came back and reinstalled the boards to do some tests and it started smoking. Looks like it was coming from this ribbon cable (see attached picture).

As you can see, im an absolute novice with this kind of thing but I don't like paying for repairs or buying new stuff if I can fix it cheaper.

      do you think...

Samsung Series 9 - BIOS issue
      by Kjell
After installing Linux, I can no longer enter the BIOS of my Samsung Series 9 (NP900X3C) laptop. When pressing [F2] during boot I simply get a black screen. Same thing when pressing [F10] and choosing "Setup" from the "App Menu" tab. Apparently this is a relatively common issue with Samsung laptops of that generation, but unfortunately i haven't been able to resolve the issue (yet).

Things i've tried so far; reinstalled Windows 10, checked for redundant boot entries, tried to factory reset using the emergency keyhole, attempted to clear the NVRAM by physically...

Samsung Plasma TV Power Supply Issue
      by lp20th
I have a vintage 2008 Samsung 50” Plasma TV, Model code PN50A550S1FXZA with a power supply part number BN44-00222A. I repaired the power supply board several years ago finding a couple of cold solder joints on the back side of the board and it's worked great up until now. Recently a fried sound occurred with the smell of burnt electronics and the TV shut down. Trying to turn it back on yielded the typical relay clicking with no TV boot up. Upon investigation, removing feeds to the other boards within the TV it was found that disconnecting the logic board from the power supply allowed the...

Samsung DM32D – Red LED blinks 5 times, won’t start (possible mainboard issue)
      by Nairolf
      Hello,

      I have a Samsung DM32D display.
When I try to power it on, the red LED blinks 5 times and nothing happens—the unit won’t start.

Here’s what I have tried so far:
      1. Disconnected the cable between the mainboard and the power supply → the backlight turns on.
      2. Disconnected the main T-CON ribbon cable → same issue as before, the LED still blinks 5 times.
      3. Disconnected one of the two T-CON ribbons to the panel (tested each one separately) → same issue, the LED blinks 5 times.

From these tests, I suspect the problem might be on the mainboard. Could anyone...
