    ok pic above was to explain;

    mine went dead totally (pn55b550t2f)
    remote is fine
    all 4 fuse ok
capacitors seem ok but I heard they could be too weak and cause other stuff to overheat?
all I can see is this suppressor pcx2337 with some good on it (or this is silicone to stop vibration?)

    any clue?
White goo is glue, not to be concerned with.
The capacitor is the little cyan/blue cuboid near the transformer, middle top of power board.

ok for this one I need to remove the board first,(tomorrow task!)
can I check this with a ohm meter? and what reading should I get?

thanks and cya all in the morning,I'm poop

ok I check this and on the 2000k ohm scale; I got a flash of 1840 about and I must wait a few sec to test it again or it read nothing.

        any other clue?

You need to use a capacitance meter. If you do not have one you will have to take a chance and replace it, total cost about $5.

yeah at this price,I will change it and see then.
thanks a lot for your time and I will post the result once I get this done.

I got this TV from my neighbor yesterday,he was gonna trow it out so gave it to me
instead, the sad part is;he went and buy a bran new Samsung again, but this time it's a
LCD or Led type, salesman told him those are good! hehehe I dunno about this.

and this site is great, first place I saw who is talking about the same model I got here.

ok and sorry for the delay,I got medical problem here to fix first.
and I got a multimeter with capacitance test now.

#1 on pic is the cap that might need to replace, but with a capacitance meter
on the 2uf scale the new one read .063 and the one on the board read .069,should I still change it (new one is https://www.digikey.com/product-deta...0492-ND/269112 )

#2 is those 3 cap I decide to test, those 3 cap are 450V and 150uf and on the 200uf scale they all read 1 (this was done with cap still on the board),they should read 150uf +- 10% no????

#3 well this one look crucial betwen them 2 transformator, should I check it? if so at what value

reminder; my plasma show no sign of any life,it's totally dead. so maybe I'm looking at the wrong place?

              thanks for your help Tom
