RCA L32HD35D No sound

Hello I just picked up the above model number tv and plugged it in powers on and get a picture but no sound when I hook up to HDMI, it has a built in DVD player and that will play and have sound but it is just when I try and hook it up to something there is no sound.?

So no sound on all inputs except when use the built-in DVD?. The HDMI source output also can be set to send out Digital or Analog output.

what about the normal tv channels did u get the sound?

Well crap now when I went to see if it would work with rc jacks when it comes on it comes on for 2-3 seconds and then back light goes out.....ahhhh now I have to try and figure that out, but both hdmi had no sound.

So I am not sure if this would have caused my latest issue but I had taken the screws out of one of the boards and forgot to put the screws back in when I was just trying to see if the other jacks would work, so without the screws in there the board would not be grounded right so would that have fried that board? it is weird why it worked all day and now it comes on and goes out in 2-3 seconds

Ok so this is getting weird, so I had it unplugged all night and this morning I thought I would see if it would turn on, and what you know it did, so then I hooked it up to a dvd with rc plugs, have sound, then hooked to hdmi and sound!! So as of now it is working fine, what would have caused the issue?
