Hello I just picked up the above model number tv and plugged it in powers on and get a picture but no sound when I hook up to HDMI, it has a built in DVD player and that will play and have sound but it is just when I try and hook it up to something there is no sound.?

Well crap now when I went to see if it would work with rc jacks when it comes on it comes on for 2-3 seconds and then back light goes out.....ahhhh now I have to try and figure that out, but both hdmi had no sound.Comment

So I am not sure if this would have caused my latest issue but I had taken the screws out of one of the boards and forgot to put the screws back in when I was just trying to see if the other jacks would work, so without the screws in there the board would not be grounded right so would that have fried that board? it is weird why it worked all day and now it comes on and goes out in 2-3 secondsComment

Ok so this is getting weird, so I had it unplugged all night and this morning I thought I would see if it would turn on, and what you know it did, so then I hooked it up to a dvd with rc plugs, have sound, then hooked to hdmi and sound!! So as of now it is working fine, what would have caused the issue?Comment

Good day ladies and gentleman!
I am currently trying to repair a Grundig Vision 9 37 9880 T USB LCD TV for a friend that has a weird audio problem. Basically everything works fine except for the heavily distorted sound when the Subwoofer module is connected and there is a buzzing sound coming from the PSU PCB.
This seems to be a rather rare TV so there is not much prior on topic help to be found however a service manual is available at the usual sources (Electro Tanya i.e.).
I think the PSU buzzing comes from one of the coils near the bridge rectifier but... -

So i have this old German sound card from Marian, called Trace Alpha. To be exact i have 2 of them and i use them professionally for my small FM radio station here. The first one works like a charm, but the second one does not work at all.
