    Samsung LN32A450C1D Red light

I have a Samsung LN32A450C1D with just the red light on and does nothing pushing the power button. I thought ok must be bad caps so looking at it all the caps look great so I pulled out the 7 big ones and checked with my ESR70 and all were perfect. I did check voltages and almost nothing on all of them. Fuse is good and no signs of anything hot or cold solder joints. Not sure what to check next.

any standby voltage?and for starters ,get rid of that brown glue around some of the components,it will conduct more as it gets older and cause problems

Not sure what one is standby on this connector but the ones marked 12v have nothing and the 2 marked 5.3v only have 1v approx.

ok,cant quite see them,5.3v is most likely the stb voltage, the 12v for the mainboard,.

disconnect main board loom, recheck voltages on the 5.3v rails on the power supply,do these re-appear?

          Re: Samsung LN32A450C1D Red light

          Think this is the schematic:

5.3V is generated by LM2576-ADJ (ICM856), a buck converter IC, from 24V rail.

          Check-
pin 1: input voltage, around 24V.
pin 2: output switch node, approx 5.3V
          pin 4: adjust, approx 1.25V

Also check pin 2 to ground for shorts, could be bad DM857
If input voltage present, but no output and DM857 not shorted suspect bad ICM856

tom66, you need to dumb it down a bit for me I have noware near your smarts. I can not get a prob in to check DM857 and I do not see ICM856 unless it's on the bottom of the board. Should I pull DM857 out of circuit and test??

in the pic,i think its next to the large filter cap,on a heatsink,3rd in from the left,

ICM856 will be mounted on heatsink near main board output connector.
                DM857 will be near it.

Whenever testing a voltage is suggested but only a single point is given like above the measurement is to be taken with the red probe on the pin and black probe on the ground like the chassis of the TV.

Diodes are tested on the diode mode of your multimeter in both directions, note the readings you get.

Ok found it right next to DM857 and has 5 legs. Hard to see.

Pin testing may be easier if you solder wires to the pads underneath and test those instead.

diode seems OK so ICM856 is the prime suspect, but need those voltages on 1,2 and 4 to be sure.

Samsung QLED QE65Q7FNAT only standby light
                                          by Kaar3l
                                          TV: Samsung QLED QE65Q7FNAT
                                          PSU: BN4400940A
                                          MB: BN94-12832K

I got the tv in spring 2024. At that time it started, then ran 60 sec and poweroff. Seemed like reboot issue. I didn't have time and room to check it in summer so I plugged it in and now the standby light is on. I press button on remote, standby light goes off and tries to start?. No picture or backlight on LCD. I thought about removing diodes like in this thread: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...sung-qled-q60r...

                                          Samsung UE60KS7000 No Standby Light

                                          Hello,

I've got a problem with a Samsung UE60KS7000 that was given to me and said that there was a problem with the One Connect box but as I understand the TV should turn on even with the One Connect box disconnected (which it doesn't). There is no stand by light.

I've disconnected the Main Board from the PSU and when connecting to mains the backlight turns on which suggests the PSU might be ok. I've measured the voltages out of the PSU and they seem reasonable (like the labels say). The main board has no obvious burns, there are no shorts on the power rails anywhere....

                                          Hello everyone,
I got a Samsung The Frame 55 inch TV for free from uncle cause it is not turning on anymore. I am in the second year of training as an electrician so I have knowledge already but I am far away from to be a pro.
The TV has Standby but ist not turning on. A Friend of mine owns a 50 inch Frame TV so I checked the One Connect Box and the One Connect Cable there. Both are good and working normally. I have opened the TV case and measured some voltages on the Board.
What I already found is that the 12.8V are not an the connector to the main board connector to the power...

                                          Hello everyone!

Tonight I picked up a Samsung UN65NU6900FXZA with a curious issue.

                                          Symptoms:

                                          1) Plug TV in to AC outlet, stand-by light illuminates briefly and goes out.
                                          2) TV does not appear to turn on
                                          3) Backlights do not illuminate, voltages associated with backlights on Power Supply are not present
                                          4) "Power on" terminal on Power Supply has 3.26v
                                          5) "A13V" terminals have 12.9v
                                          6) Stand-by test jumper on Power Supply has 12.9V
                                          7) Optical audio jack on Main Board illuminates
                                          8) With stand-by...
