Hello all,
This site been a great resource for me in resolving some previous TV & pump repair problems, so I'm hopeful that the expert troubleshooting minds on the site can help me with what has so far been an intractable problem.
I have a Viore LC-37VF55 TV that I have been using outdoors for some years. Recently, I lost the video connection on HDMI 1 and HDMI 2 due to corrosion. All other video signals work fine.
I tried replacing the original main-board with a replacement, PN 515C2602M01, sticker TV:222-090228002-03-32-S-S-16F (on the Samsung Tuner Component). With the replacement, I got no video and a two inch vertical band of colored light run from the top to the bottom of the screen, about 12 inches from the right side of the panel.
I purchased a second board PN 515C2602M01, (Sticker 515C2602M01 on the tuner), installed it and got the same result(No video, band of light about 12 inches from the right side of the screen).
After measuring voltages at the LVDS port of all three boards (unconnected to the TCON), I found that the original board (PN 515C2602M01, sticker TV:222-090212001-01032AU37T370Hw01 v2-031909 on the tuner), measured 11.7 DCV on pins 33-36, while the two replacements only measured 5.12 DCV. Pins 33-36 supply power to the T-CON.
Is it likely that both replacement boards are bad? Is it possible that some variants of the LC-37VF55 are designed to supply only 5 DCV to the T-Con?
Thanks
