smd code 431

I have a model dps-475ap power supply from a vizio tv > It has several smd sot 23 devices marked 431h my code book lists it as a zener diode . But my compenent tester indicates that it is an npn transistor with non typical pin out outs ebc base the top single pin . It is also marked as ic... on the board other transistors are labelet q... and diodes are labeled d...
Any sugestions on how to identify this device?

Probably a TL431? Voltage reference, adjustable zener diode.

Not likely the board has at least 10 of the devices and it is to small for any power smd sot23 package . Thanks for the response

I found the following from a DPS-250 drawing.

APL431HAAI-TRL (ANPEC)
TLV431ASN1T1G (on-semi)

Available as SOT-23, SOT-23-5, SOT-89, SO-8, TO-92, TO-92S etc
