    3 blinks, that's a rare one. No D-board. definitely 3 not 4 blinks?

here's a guide for this gen. 3 can be SC board failure too according to this. SC shorts at Vsus SC2 quite common.

Would not hurt to quickly check that. Shorted SC has also triggered SOS4 & 10.

Board will be TNPA5081 , (check revision AH?) which i know fairly well as i have a 50" version.

This will do for fault finding, A board version may be different, rest should be essentially the same.

please explain what differences you have concerns about.

I still feel that manual will do the job.

The A board shown is a TNPH0838. It may be a different revision but layout should be the same.

        SC TXNSC11NEK = TNPA5081AH = TXNSC1LGUU

        SS TXNSS11NEK = TNPA5082AH

        SM TNPA5086 = TXNSM11NEK42

        PSU LSEP1290EEHB = LSEP1290EEHB

        C1 = TNPA5094 = TXNC11LHUU

        C2 = TNPA5095 = TXNC21LHUU

Maybe a picture of the layout of yours would help clarify.

I am seeing a TNPA5130 XW tuner board and a logic board TNPA5299(D board? 3D model? GT20?) on FlatTV parts and SJ.

As for block diagrams, both they and the schematics are in there. What precisely are you trying to identify?

I have enclosed my A-board layout below

          I am looking for a schematic A-board TNPH0838
How and which components I have a measure on A-board ?

I was hoping you'd post a snap of the whole rear of the TV with the boards .

Use the manual I linked, it's the same layout.

TP9011 is a 3.3V test point on the A board, use the schematic too.

IC9803 is the 3.3v reg, it needs 15v at pin2, produces 3.3v out of pin 3. gnd is pin4. I'm getting this straight out of that manual.

            TP9011 is around ic9803 next to q9002 or L9000 for 3.3V

I would start with the 3 blink flowchart in the training guide, it asks for checking shorted Vsus, Vda & 15V first.

Then checks short on the A for the 3.3v, then isolates the 3.3v from the C boards to confirm whether it's on the A or C, then gets you to isolate each C to determine which one.

Obviously depending on what you find will determine which path you take but ultimately the options are SC, C boards, A or panel. I would not expect the panel.

Vsus , 15V , 5v go to the Sc board, Vda goes to the C boards , 3.3v is produced from the 15v on the A, goes to C boards

3 blink is P+3.3V, there are Sub 3v and STDBY 3V but they are different SOS.

do not laugh please, but basic questions:
I should measure the resistance between chassis ground and the pins on VDA,VSUS when TV is unpluged from power?
it doesn't show any resistans on pins from the table only few ohms but on pin3 /p11 and pin4/p35
how to check TP9011 if that test point is on the foil side ?
I should connect TV to power before?

have you got much experience with testing electronics the only reason for asking if you havnt please say then when can help advise on what meter settings etc you need to test the boards with i would also put all the boards back into the set and connect all the leads/cables back up then follow the flow chart and take readings etc.

I have a experience with testing mobile phones not TV,
I have measure resistance again, results:

                  p15v scale 20k pin 4 conn. 1,97 wire 3.95
vsus pin 1 unable to test on all scales shows 1
vda pin 1 unable to test on all scales shows 1
                  over the scale

                      Hi,
anyone able to provide the service manual for old plasma Panasonic TX-P42ST50E?
It turns off almost immediately (0~5 seconds after pressing the on/off button) and starts flashing the red diode 6 times.
I disconnected the left-hand side board (SC?, both the ribbon cable and the power cable to it) and also another ribbon going to bottom left board. Then the led signal is 8 flashes. According to service guide to another Panasonic plasma it would mean the left-hand side board is faulty. But I'm not sure it 100% applies to my model.
I checked that board for any obvious faults...

Panasonic Plasma TH-50PZ85U No screen No blinks on red power light
                      by Alicat
                      Hello,

Stopped by this site trying to fix my parents Panasonic Plasma TV.

                      Model number is TH-50PZ85U

Power comes on and the red power light stays on solid.

Did a few checks like hold the power button on for 60 seconds, hold the - Volume while holding the menu button, no luck, still@ blank grey screen as the screen lights up very vague.

I also hear a few clicks.

I also think my parents said there was a thunderstorm and the TV failed after that.

Section 6 in the service manual talks about power and no screen,...

                      Hello,
My Oct 2012 panny plasma quit working yesterday.
It was on when it happened. It let out a bit of burned plastic/circuit board smell. I was not able to find any burned parts though.
Now it produces 8 blinks. According to the repair manual, that points to SS/SS2 board(s).
I completed the steps in the guide: unplugged SS33, the TV turned on with a black screen, no blinking codes. Then I checked the continuity between pins 1 and 2 of the connectors SS52, SS54-SS57. The continuity is ok in all of them. Guide suggests to replace SS/SS2 boards so I placed an order...

                      by Biruslapio
Bought this TV used not working, panel flashed briefly on power up and it was blinking 8 times, a quick look on SS board revealed a common fault on the 3uF 250V capacitors, C201 to C205 (C1620X in the service manual), the solder joints were all cracked, C201 and C205 pins were darkened and some sparking had occurred on them, C201 was split open and clearly overheated in its last hours, replaced that one and resoldered the others, 8 blinks fixed.

Also the previous owner broke the antenna connector by taking the TV out of the wall mount forgetting to unplug it, I desoldered the tuner...

Panasonic P50VT20B Plasma 12 Blinks, Power Supply or A-Board?
                      by Biruslapio
Hello, I've had this TV for 3 years, 2 years ago it stopped working signaling 12 Blinks, SOUND_SOS according to the service manual.

It has no VSUS or VDAT, and P15V has 1.0V instead, the same 15V goes to A board. F15V is ok and other main voltage rails.

It seems the power supply is defective, since unplugging D20 ribbon cable that goes from D-board to SC-board makes the behavior change, the TV stays on, there's no image nor VSUS, but 15V reads 2.4V, high enough to not trip the SOS 12 blinks, so it stays on, fans do not spin but I left it 2 hours, green led lit up...
