Considering Purchasing 46" Vizio for repair

Just found this add local for sale for $40.00.
Here is what the add said.
    "5 year old VIZIO TV
    46" LCD screen
Has a corner that flickers and is darker than rest of TV and 2-3 thin stripes on left (not very noticeable). We have lived with these quirk and watched it like this for over a year.
I am looking for the stand...we had it mounted."

Look at the photo below that they posted with the ad and tell me what you think? Ribbon Cable Connections? If it is a bad screen then I am not interested. What do you think?
You can see the rectangle in the upper right hand corner.

The screen is most likely good, horizontal bars are way easier to diagnose than vertical. From what I can barely see in the pic is that looks like an Inverter,T-con, or Mainboard issue rather than the panel. It's worth 40.

Hard to see it entirely. But does look like a bad panel with the tab bond problem (Though I haven't seen much tab bond problems with vizios). Usually you can get a good buck for vizio main boards since they are also in high demand depending on what model the tv is.

That's a gamble but I'm going to say tab bond issue.
Did I leave the soldering iron on?

Definitely tab bonds IMO, and the side bonding ones are a nightmare to fix. Probably an LG panel which are horrible for side bond faults. Avoid unless free or very cheap.
