    LG 50pv450

I have a LG 50pv450 that the screen stopped working on.

The TV would click on and a second later click back off.

I thought it was the power supply, so I bought a new and had the same issue.

Next I bought a new y-sus board put that in, I got the TV to come on but have a really bad picture.

Then I thought it might be the Y-buffer board, so I replaced them but have the same issue.

The top of the screen works but is really pixely, the bottom is white and fuzzy.

    Any ideas?

Looks like a bad lower Y-buffer board. Are you sure the board you got is OK?

Yes bad lower y buffer. Return it and get another. Someone e prob powered up that y buffer with a broken screen.
Did I leave the soldering iron on?

I replaced the y-sus first and that is the pic I got, when I replaced the y-buffers it was the exact same.

It makes me want to thing its the y-sus is that possible?

I got the y-sus from pay-less components and the y-buffers from rescued parts both used.

Could it be a dirty ribbon cable or I didn't get it back in good?

The top of the screen works but is really pixley with bad color.

Can you post a picture of the Y-sustain and also the model number of the internal panel (something like LG Electronics PDP50K1########)

well--not really possible to tell what effect a wrong board may give.....

What are the part-numbers for each?

looks to be more of a buffer/supply to bottom buffer issue to me...

                  Re: LG 50pv450

                  The original y-sus was EBR69839001

The replacement I received was EBR71838901

I have gone through 2 sets of y-buffers and the picture stays the same.
