Hi everyone! I found this TV on the curb of a residential area. I don’t know if it’s an easy fix, if so I could maybe use a spare TV for one of the rooms. Also to note I think it may have water damage since I picked up after this past rainy weekend. I’ve attached pictures of the TV and possibly the damage as well. For starters I’m just an amateur in understanding how to repair devices but I would like to learn. Also I know a little bit of soldering as long as it’s not complicated. I would like some insight if it’s worth repairing or not. Thank you for taking the time to help me!

It looks properly goosed to me! But have you tried connecting up a video source to see if you get an image? It looks to me as though you’re getting power to the screen but it has indeed suffered water ingress. -
So I have had this before also and know what it is. So water got in-between the screen and the diffuser shield as well as some of the reflector sheets or whatever you call them. I have taken apart the TV completely on one of these and tried to dry out the sheets themselves but as you wipe them it seems to damage them. The water seems to cause a discoloration to the sheets themselves. As far as I could tell there isn't anything you can do about it except make it slightly better by taking it all apart. In fact I probably wouldn't turn it on until I got all the water out in between the screen because that water behind the shield is going to seep down into the ribbons probably and just short out the TV (this is my own thinking anyway)

by edugimenoHi! My friend just brought this audio amplifier/speaker fro his music band saying they realized its got no sound. Led powers up but there no sound at all
I opened it and found 3 board. 2 of them are for input plugs and potentiometers, and the other larger board has the amplifiers for 2 large speakers that it drives
There's also a large toroid transformer that feeds a lower voltage to the first 2 boards and a larger voltaje (36x2 rectified close to 100v) to the power board. The power board has the plugs for both speakers
There is only one signal wire connecting the first boards...-

by Joel OhanaHi,
I have a Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15IAU7 that suffered water damage. It doesn't turn on (white power light flashes when on button pressed), and the amber light flashes when plugged in.
Symptoms:- Short detected – sparks appear when touching the charging port connection with board with a metal (even a multimeter probe).
- Visible damage – after cleaning corrosion, I found 4 possibly burnt memory chips near PC3165, labeled UD5, UD6, UD7, and UD8.
What are my next steps to diagnose and possibly repair it without replacing the entire board? Any guidance would be greatly... -
by abajorLike title says A2141 came in with Water Damage, customer desperately wants the data.
The actual water ingress doesn't appear too bad it sat for a day but was very dusty internally. I have no idea why L8504 was arced there is no apparent moisture there or around the LVDS cable; however, the LVDS to screen screw studs had popped off at some point and somebody tried securing it with kapton tape.
I had to create a micron wire pad jumper to reconnect the south side of the L8504 since the primary pad was blasted down to the vias.
That said after cleaning up the... -
