problem with OPTICA 7042C

hi huys iv got a mate who purchased a TV through Gumtree from someone, little did he know the person who was selling the tv had it rented from one of those pay as you view Homebuy deals. he only had the tv a few days and he switched on one morning to be asked for a customer number and the tv was locked. is there anyway to change the firmware im sure its LG firmware thats on them as it comes up the LG logo on the smart section of the tv..

bit old now but...remove the smart tv board from the tv and job done. no smart tv part but better than nothing....you can reset the android operating system on the smart tv board by removing the back cover and the metal side cover. you will see a button that is covered by the cover. when tv is turned on, holld this button. android recovery will come up...good luck
