    Thanks for all your help.

I have another TV to repair; I'll start another thread for that one and post the link on here also.

I look forward to repairing the next one.

    Thanks again

Yes the board numbers were exactly the same. No worries I found the issue, I put one of the ribbon cables in upside down. Its all working now

Do all the numbers on he old main board match the new main? these have to be a complete match, also on the plug that goes to the T.con these board some times have more pins on the board then on the plug and needs to be fitted the same as the old one? so check these thing and reply Flocko

    Hello all,

I completely changed the main AV board, the screen now comes on, but I am getting only a white screen. Any idea why? or how to resolve this?

See here for how to test voltage regulators
    https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=22231
    try that on your board.

Thanks. I am looking for a replacement board; however, I wouldn't mind attempting to fix this one myself. I can solder very well, and I'm sure there will be a youtube video out there explaining how to do SMDs. I don't mind if I need to purchase a different tester off of ebay or something. As you can see I like to learn and do things for myself.

Bad capacitors are to blame in about 5% of Tv repairs and cannot be tested with a multimeter. And as most of the part fitted to your main board are SMD and would need highly skilled soldering for there replacement a replacement board is your best bet. Flocko

    Thanks for the reply!

Are you sure? I am willing to give it a go; I have to learn someday.
I know how to change capacitors. So if you think It may be a bad capacitor, maybe you could tell me how I test them; and then I could change any bad capacitors if needed.

    Kind regards.

been out cutting grass, well as Tom said 12 volt supply are there i thinks the 5V from the main must be there as well for the red standby led to light, so my best bet would be bad main board. and as such i would suggest a replacement board as i would think that testing and a repair on this would be beyond you at the moment.Look for part number on main board then search on Ebay. In the centre of the power board it reads, ACT 3611 / ERL28-T002 (Is this the board part number?)

This is what I can see.

Sorry just looked at your photos again and your power board is mounted to the plastic body of the set so the mounting screws would not be grounded flocko

It would appear the power supply is working then. Time to look at the main board, can you post a picture of it?

Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 - no power
    by PantherDave
    Hi all!

I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅

I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

troubleshooting microsoft surface pro 4 no power no led charge light
    by ipatch
hello, i have been sitting on some microsoft surface pro 4 tablets for a while now. i was originally tasked with replacing the battery in one of the tablets, and ended breaking the screen and logic board in the process. decided to buy another tablet with the same specs. got that screen off successfully of the second tablet. the logic board appeared good, but i guess i shorted something out in the installation process of the logic which i've read is a common issue if there is no barrier between the logic board and battery pins. all that said, i ate costs of the repair and have...

LG 39ln540v - red light flashes twice, no power to LED driver?
    by russpall
    Hi there,

I've got a 39" LG 39LN540V that's just spontaneously stopped working! The symptoms are - when I plug it in, the red light will flash on twice, then go out, there's no visible picture, and I couldn't see anything using a torch on the panel either. If I press the power button (either remote or on TV), the red light comes on continuously. If I press power again, the red light flashes twice.

The TV is using a power board EAX64905301. I've attached a diagram of the power output, I've tested the voltages with a multimeter and I'm getting the following:

Desoldering gun station modified to use a 18 volt @ 20 amp switching power supply
    by sam_sam_sam
I have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump

One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy...
