    TXP50V10E Probably SC Board broken

    Greetings badcaps Community,

i need ur wise advice with my plasma. It's a Panasonic TXP50V10E.

It seems for me that the SC Board is broken, but before I order one on ebay i justed wanted to hear ur oppinion.

    1) It often shut's down in the early stages of turning on till it's warmed up a bit, then it keeps running. When it shuts off by self in early stages the LED blinks 7 times = Error Code of SC Board

    2) Image shows the actual broken state

U can see a lot of thick horizontal lines with wrong pixel coloring (don't know how to describe it im german sr)

It gets a bit better when TV is warming up but not much.

For me as shown with the Error Code by the TV the first thing i would do is get a SC board and look if it get's better or still things are broken.

What u guys say, am I right and should first order a new SC board?

    Side Question

I was looking for SC Boards on ebay and found not exactly what i needed. Can i also use another one Serials following:

    ACTUAL BUILD IN : TNPA4782-AF
    FOUND ON EBAY : TNPA4782-AB

What does AF and AB stand for? Is this maybe NTSC/PAL difference or sth like that? (sr im noob so maybe this question is obsolete)

I would be thinking A board as a possibility, too.

Why do u think the A Board could cause this problem?

It generates the drive waveforms for SC and SS. We have had bad A board cause poor image, then 6 or 7 blink code.

I'm not saying it isn't the SC, just that A board could cause this too.

Yeah ok i understand. Is there any way to determine it? Or am I fucked and mmay have to order both a A board and SC board?

Suddenly i see the first time vertical bad Lines too.

So when i look at the knew error, I would say that it looks more like the A board according to what tom66 said.

Do u guys think the same?
