Question regarding which capacitors to use.
01-18-2014, 08:52 PM
I've been fixing TVs for about 4 months now and have always replaced capacitors with Panasonic FC or FM series.
My question is what other brands/series are suitable?

Re: Question regarding which capacitors to use.
Low ESR series (High ripple, low impedance), depending where the capacitors are on the boards.
Panasonic FM, FR,
Nichicon HM or HN (discontinued), HW (new, 2014), maybe HE and PJ (but check for ripple and impedance first), PW for small uF values (chart here:
http://nichicon-us.com/english/produ...ini/pict_f.htm
)
Nippon ChemiCon KZE,KZH, KY, KYA, LXZ, LXY ( chart here: )
Rubycon ZL, ZLH, ZLJ, ZLK (capacitors chart here:
http://www.rubycon.co.jp/en/catalog/...ducts_Eng.html
)
