Panasonic TC-60PS34 no signs of life (no power, no standby, no clicks)

So, to make a long story very slightly shorter, I have a TC-60PS34 which stopped working last November. I assume it was a power surge. No standby light, no response to any power button, no clicks when you plug it in, nothing at all. Squaretrade replaced it after it took a month to get a repair tech out to see it, and I was planning on disposing of it or selling it for parts. Well, it kept staring at me, and last week, I figured I'd make some calls and try to get it fixed. After talking to the same technician who finally came out for Squaretrade, he advised me that in 90% of cases it was the power board, and otherwise it would be the main board. He sent me to ebay, where I picked up all three of the power boards for $90. I replaced them, and the TV still shows no signs of life whatsoever. Still no lights at any point in time, no clicks, nothing.

So my question to you guys is whether I move to the "main board" as he described it, which I have concluded is TNPH0914 suffix AE, or if there is anything to test otherwise.

I have a digital multimeter and a vast array of tools, and would like to claim I am fairly competent, but maybe not the best solderer around.

    Cliffs notes:
    Panasonic TC-60PS34
    -probable power surge
-no standby led, no power, no relay clicks when plugged in
-main and two sub power boards replaced with no apparent effect

    Thanks!

Can you take a picture of the chassis arrangement of all the circuit boards? So we know what we are dealing with.

Sorry it took so long. Here is a general shot of the chassis from the back. Do you need closer shots of anything?

there's usually a fuse near where the power comes into the board have you looked for one or can you get closer pictures of the power board

All of the obvious ceramic fuses test ok, even on the old board(s). Though I may need a better multimeter to be sure.

the 2 i pointed at arent ceramic, if you arent getting any power at all have you connected it to power and check for voltage on the board, starting by those white fuses i pointed out

Sorry it took so long to update. This is a picture of those fuses. Are they not ceramic? My DMM shows all fuses on all boards as having 0 resistance. My DMM is not auto switching for currents, where on the board should I see AC vs. DC?

                Thanks!

Panasonic TC-P60S30 - no standby voltage
                  by BobbyMJ
                  Hi All,
Wanting to learn some electronics repair skills.
I found a non working Panasonic TC-P60S30 and this is my first project / attempt.

So far I have found a blown cap on the main power supply board.
After replacing it there's still no standby power.

Poked around and found a resistor on the PSUB power supply board that measures open.

An online resistor calculator shows this is a 93k ohm resister.

                  My questions:

                  Is that correct, 93k ohms?
                  Is it a fusible resistor?
Lastly, how do I know what wattage?...

Panasonic TH-50PX8EA Black screen, only relay clicks
                  by Rensiee
                  Hello,
I have been reading a few threads on here regarding Panasonic plasma tv's. I've found one thread which explains the same problem as mine, unfortunately the thread has not been completed.
I got a free tv (TH-50PX8EA) from a friend which shows no screen. When plugged in only one red light shows up and when pushing the ON button, the red LED turns of and will only turn on again when pressing the ON button again.

When plugging in the TV i hear two relays click fast and after a few seconds the third relay clicks.
I have measured the voltage in the VSUS line, which...

Looking for help diagnosing a 65" Panasonic Viera TV - TH-65DX700Z (Turns on - Clicks - Turns off)
                  by mostachio
                  Hi Badcaps,

I've had a friend discard a TH-65DX700Z Pansonic Viera Television and I've decided to have a go at repairing it. If possible could I please get some advice in terms of diagnosing the problem so I can purchase the appropriate parts for repair whether it be components, a repair kit or a replacement board. I am happy to post pictures if required.

                  TV Details:

                  Model # - TH-65DX700Z

                  Symptoms:

The television turns on and displays a picture then makes a clicking sound and turns off.

I haven't opened it up yet but...

Zombie Samsung UN55NU6900F dead / no standby voltage - randomly came to life after hours of troubleshooting then died
                  by tvguy12012012120
This is my first attempt at troubleshooting a board like this, I know I could just buy a new board but I'm curious to figure out how this works. I've been testing different components in the evenings this week and I think the problem is with the IC failing to start up for some reason. When the board is plugged in there is no standby voltage.

Then today it randomly sprung to life like a zombie but shortly died thereafter. I have no idea why it would have done that and its the first time I've seen it running. I discharged capacitors on the board last night, then it was sitting today....
