    Samsung LN-T5271F

I have an intermittent problem , audio is at max when you turn on TV.
That's the only problem with it and it's only when you first power up.
Any info will be appreciated , so thanks in advance.

Do you see the volume indicator shoot up just as it does this? Can you turn the volume down with the remote?

No it's at full volume , I have to immediately start pressing the volume down button which does bring up the volume indicator. I have disabled
the remote , but that had no effect. The problem has become more consistent now rather than intermittent.

        Try this on the remote:

        - Put TV in standby
        - Then, in sequence press: Mute-1-8-2-Power

After a short delay, TV turns on. What do you see on the screen?

tom66 I appreciate the help, but I'm at a loss here on the standby
mode. Can you give me details on how to get in standby mode?

When you press the power button on the TV or remote after it is powered on, the TV enters standby mode, where it is waiting for you to turn it back on again or unplug it. Not sure if it is called differently in US?

My version doesn't have the feature. when powering off it does not give you a menu , it's just off or on. I'll keep looking but so far I don't see it.

ok tv starts with max volume and displays a "component HD" menu. I'll have to wait until tomorrow to check further due to the lack of volume control(Don't want to wake everyone up here). I did not see the volume indicator at the bottom of the screen, just the box in the center labeled component HD along with other things I didn't have time to read, man that seemed really loud!
Thanks for the help , I will check again tomorrow.
Sorry I forgot to say, this was after pushing "mute-1-8-2-power" and I would have continued but it's late and I had no volume control at the time.

You need to press those buttons on the remote when the TV is in standby. It will then turn on and show the service menu.

Wow that opened up an infinte number settings. Ok I made it to menu
using "mute-1-8-2-power" and made some adjustments on volume and
amp . The volume still seemed to high so I went for the factory reset. In process of setting up now and after 2 restarts it seems to be fixed!
Thanks to tom66, budm ,mmartell and everyone else at this forum for your help, I learned something on this one. This also got me reading other post on troubleshooting and testing components in the tv section to keep me in the learning curve!
