check the processor chip, input VCC voltage should be around 3.5- 6v ish ?,it may be corrupt also ,also the crystal ,not common failiure though, but worth a check, you be looking for a sine wave for that test,or use a am radio !
fixed so far...376 lg lcd tv's,24 onn tv;s,24 panasonic lcd,16 jvc lcd,12 marshall jcm800 amps, refurb of various disco equipment lighting, old style disco decks ,and a flymo!

      Re: Insignia NS-L26Q-10A no power

I've been testing the voltage on many of the voltage regulators on this board. With my black lead on a grounding nut, I found 0VDC on all of the legs of the voltage regulators on the top-left side of the board. The only place I found voltage was toward the middle of the board (mid-right picture). The component labeled U201 (in the mid-right picture) has 5VDC on all 4 of its right legs (pins 5-8), and have 0VDC on all 4 of its left legs (pins 1-4). The data sheet for this component is here:

Do these readings seem right? Or should I try to find where the 5V is stepped down to 3.3V? I haven't found any points on the board that have 3.3V.

They are showing 0V can be due to the main power supply is not on due to no PS_ON signal, you need to force on the power supply so the power supply can supply the switched 12V, 24V, etc. to the main board. You need to cut that PS_ON wire to allow you to pull the PS_ON pin on the power supply board HI using 1K resistor between the power suppl PS_ON pin and the 5VSTBY pin.

So should I apply a 3VDC source to the PS_ON pin?

Yes, but you must disconnect that PS_ON wire that goes back to the main board because it will try to pull the PS_ON signal low and not allow you to turn on the power supply when you try to force on the power supply with resistor.
